Integrated Paths 3.0 (Berserker Example)

Yes, just let it die.

Thanks for the positive input f0xx. But we all can't be like the balkan's and be happy with mediocrity

I want this to happen.

I would gladly trade all of your lives for this implementation, even if it meant having no one to enjoy it with. D:

I remain a big fan of it as well.

I love this idea. I want to see Cel' come up with advanced/mastered concepts for all the skills, it's really fun reading what they could do.

More fun still to play with different builds if they get implemented.

well... he has a point, nobody needs an idea fairy, unless your willing to do complete work and code it yourself it will never get done.

Quoting a 1.5 year old quote. I'm willing and unable, though I'd like to learn. I know intention is worthless without action. Further, I am not convinced this would even be implemented if the work WAS done. No Imms, to my knowledge, have commente on the integrity of the idea.

I have seen plenty of changes proposed by players end up being coded by the IMMs throughout the years. Your statement is false. On top of that, it never hurts to toss ideas out in the hope that, at the bare minimum, it'll get the IMMs thinking about new ways they could make changes that they'd like to make.

Cel, feel free to post the correspondence we had a few days ago, concerning this idea... I recently emptied my inbox.

After seeing a system somewhat similar to your suggestion implemented on Diablo 3 (skills and skill runes), I am starting to think that your idea wasn't that bad.

That being said, I still firmly believe it can never be implemented considering our lack of active coder.

If even f0xx agrees, that just leaves the IMMs...

They have not bit on this thread yet? Maybe we need peanut butter!

Bump as requested

I think this idea would add so much depth to the game it's ridiculously awesome.

Now when you fight someone you know what they can and cannot do. If this were implemented the first fight would be a testing ground to see where they put stuff then implementing a strategy to defeat that. And would give more characters specialization against fighting against different classes. It just adds that much more depth to the entire game.

For instance, while I love monks, I've always wanted a warrior that runs around just beating crap with his gauntlets, not as good as a monk, but with options like this it would at least be worthy of a try.

The flipside is the coding and the balancing, but without those, we wouldn't have near as much fun finding the OP stuff.

We're well aware of this idea, however I can't say how/when/if it'll be implemented. The discussion has ranged over a muriad of questions, answeres and concerns. There's nothing an imm can provide that's worthy of the effort you all have put in to the back and forth aside from a difinitive answer, which we can't deliver at the moment.

Nostalgic bump!
