Ok, I understand what the skill does, but does anyone else find it useless? Just seems like an easy way to die if you ask me. No idea what I'm getting at, but maybe it could be changed or replaced? Thoughts?
Catalepsy
It saved my *** once.
Monks need more. I think it should at least be useable in offensive stance too.
It removes you from where..
used with that in mind you can pretty much vanish.
If you're running and simply CAN'T shake off that jerk-off whose out damaging you like a pro, empower defensive, run to the Labrynth, and catalepsy in a corner somewhere.
Like mindflayer said, it's saved my life too.
Catalepsy is fantastic. Saved my life more than once. Just make sure you're not in an area where there's a single path, where someone is bound to run past you. Quick example: run into Elium, catalepsy - most people will assume you've recalled or headed elsewhere and won't pass you. Stuff along those lines.

Ehm, now I don't have much experience with monks and especially with catalepsy, but if you disappear from "where", don't you disappear from "who" too? Also, don't you stop your regain when you are in catalepsy?
No, dummy. Its like being in a blanketed room. If they run up on you, you're ****ed. Imagine that scene from friday where they're running from big worm's hitmen and then jump in the back of that truck to avoid detection.

No health regen, and it drains mana (meaning you can't stay in it forever).
Think the tannery in Miruvhor. You enter there, and you're invisible on where to others. It's like having your own portable temporary Miruvhor Tannery with you - though less obvious, which is better for you.
You also appear dead; though that won't fool most people!
Dey
Doesn't that tannery only hides the Where of other people, not the actual where of people inside the room?
Whoops, may have gotten mixed up there then if that's the case - I can't remember off-hand and just tried to use that as an example.
Anyway, catalepsy still makes you invisible on where, so still useful. ![]()

correct, like any blaneketed room they do not know your there unless they enter.
I used catalepsy on my monks in town. Run into town, pick a random spot in a merchant, guild entrance, above a merchant, house, anywhere...and use it. They wont find you, and will most likely continue on past or run to your hometown if they know it.
I meant the opposite Kyzarius.
Dey enters the Tannery. He cannot see anyone with WHERE.
Dale is getting a Tatoo, his WHERE shows:
Dale - Tatto Shop
Dey - Tannery
That blanket room is the opposite of most dark rooms.
