After an incident last night with one too many targetted commands going through I have a simple idea for when someone wins a challenge. Tow possible solutions, 1) After the victorious blow that wins the challenge lands and the challenge is ended you get a message, something like, " Are you sure you would like to murder character XXXXX, Y or N?" 2) The stunned cannot be killed for the first tic since they are stunned for 2 tics to begin with.
Simple Change for Challenges.
I like the second option more. 1 tick of no kill. Many times I have killed/been killed when it shouldn't have happened.
Well, as much as I'd like to endorse this idea.. this is the life of a Warmaster (who is the one who mostly, and will always be the one challenging). Perhaps change it so if perhaps the one you're fighting is a goodie (and you're a goodie too) there's a 1 tick of no kill?
That seems more plausible to me.
I see it as an inherent danger of fighting to the (near) death. Bugs that result in a death should be fixed, such as the firestorm one. Spamming commands however...

Eh lol. That is just how it is now. This suggestion brings nothing new in this specific area which you are pointing towards.

It won't lag you. It just won't allow you to attack him. Besides it can be done the first way which samag offered.

Yeah I say change nothing other than adding a buffer between the challenge ending and the actual murder. How often have you all either A. had some skill imput that made the final blow or B. had your melee attacks make the blow but your command comes in RIGHT after.
Everyone, yea? Nay? I cannot see this as being too difficult to code in , and the safeguard it would offer would open up some opportunity for rp for things such as tournaments amongst goodies and whatnot. No lag added, nothing more than a confirm command after a challenge is over.
I kind of like how it is right now. That there is a danger of accidentally killing your opponent if you don't pay attention. As long as you are careful and know what you're doing though, you won't kill the guy by mistake.

Inherent danger of a goody - goody challenge. If it is your fault (spam) outcast will follow. No big deal if it was by mistake though, a little rp of repenting and the flag will be gone again.
See no reason to change this right now.
If the death is caused by a bug, post on prayer and we'll fix it.

the second option will not work, unless you make a particular savant ability not effect the timer on mercy.
With the Merciful perk you could avoid this incident. But even with all my preaching you all still cling to your murderous ways. Shame on you if you kill someone you did not mean to kill, do not blame the game mechanic for your own failure to make good decisions.
