What if Monk while in defensive empowerment could gain Sanctuary effect from Aura skill ?
IT would aid monks to fight meeles classes. And reduce monks dependability of consumables in some occasions.
Frankly defensive for monks is awful, this would open new interesting opportunities.
Uhm, a 24 hours long sanctuary?
i don't think aura lasts that long H&R :-)
edit: Mya, I don't know if this would even change much. Even in defensive stance, its assumed that you're pk'ing with sanc up. So, changing Aura to Sanc would just be like having one less spell with defensive properties. Unless you mean to merge the effects of aura+sanc.
You know, that would only hurt monks
I think defensive isn't useless, it is precisely what it is called. If you want to kill someone, go offensive, if you want to survive....defensive. Isn't that the idea? Correct me if I am wrong, I do NOT know much about monks.
Oh, maybe you are right...
I guess most monks do prefer offensive stance for thrash/trip, chii bolts, and of course dragon stance. If Mya doesn't like defense simply because it is not defensive enough, I dunno if making aura=sanctuary will really solve that.
Aura lasts about 12 hours with the AC derived from either half your level or your level...(it's the opposite of whatever the hell Chii does for you) and it might do something else, but I'm not saying....
However, Aura = Sanctuary would make Warmaster Barbarian Monks nasty. And you'd probably never see a Gladiator Monk again....
I'm gonna say...no....
Have their been many monk gladiators? Anyway, I think giving monks sanctuary... even a conditional one like this being suggested a little OPed. I mean, is it really that tough to carry sanc sources?
It's so easy to get sanctuary, especially as a monk. Why do you suggest we need this change?

Aura's your level, chii's 1/3.
Does paladin = melee?
If it can cast sanc then no.
I see paladin as 2/3 caster, 1/3 melee, and dk as 1/3 caster, 2/3 melee. So paladin is a hybrid, but with disarm as their only in-combat non-spell, and the fact that they have trance, makes them a caster.
Also, monks don't need this. They have access to staves and scrolls, they don't need easy sanctuary too.

Agreed on both points, with the small remark that monks already have access to easy sanc
Easy Sanctuary is only in Defensive. Horse+Drunk+Buda
Frankly with the tone up of offensive (+second parry), why would you go defensive ?
Can't lag, so if you win, you don't win, you just lose time and consumables.
In offensive, you have access to those chakera hits, cursed disarms, trips so that you can actualy WIN.
In defensive, you just stand there an hope you outmeeled him, throwing a dirt at tic because there is no other skill that you can use.

Perhaps you should suggest something in that direction then?
Mya always says Kick more.
Should Drunk people staggering into you accidently trip you?(add chance to trip?) may already exist, not a monk expert
I know if a horse kicks you you would certainly be a few moments recovering.(add chance to bash?) again may already exist
Buhda's kick already impresses me .
