I really don't think it's appropriate to take pot shots at a character just because you found an interaction disagreeable.
And I will say that this is NOT aimed at the original poster.

Ah really? That is like explaining to us that a mino can't charge while in combat
Come on man, we ain't that newb
My bad. It was hard to tell last time I PK-ed you. ![]()

I think bash is unfair because it only fails sometimes and lags me giving me no chance to live. I especially think giant sized races are unfair.
I think trip is unfair because it prevents me from fleeing combat when I need to. I especially think sliths are unfair.
I think vuln weapons are unfair because they target something I have no chance of really covering and kill me.
are unfair because they and I die to them.
You NEVER have more than a 95% chance to assassinate. You rarely have 85% chance to assassinate. Before the enlarge fix, the normal ceiling was about 80%. When I played Kulk, my normal ceiling was around 60% at full study when my enemy was smart and used poison.
That means that I have about 1 in 2 chance to be successful, otherwise I usually die.
Bash looks superior, and I can guarantee more people die to it with much less risk to the fire giant hopped on venom.
Each of the skills you mentioned can be countered. Some are especially easy to be countered. I won't even discuss vulns, becuase your argument is just stupid.
Bash has a 3 rounds lag when it fails and if it is successful you still have to outdamage your opponent and if you want to kill your opponent you have to land quite a few of them and it is still almost 100% sure it will not be a complete laglock. Assassinate has a 4 rounds lag if it fails, if it is successful it is a one hit kill. How can you even compare them? The only way you can kill an assassinate ninja is if you laglock them.
Please, inform me how do you counter assassinate? And what is with percentages, we all know that they are much more successful.
Dying due to unsuccessful assassinate? For god's sake, put your sanc up at least?
How do you people get assassinated so easily? I got killed by a ninja (not assassinate btw) was only because I risked finish my quest after I beat them up once. My mistake.
Here's a clue for you all: Stay mobile and hop areas often. Keep a liberal dose of forests and deep blue seas in your movements and you can't help but notice a ninja trailing you. At least in my above case I saw him coming without issue.
As one of THE most sucessful ninja players of FL once told me: If you see a ninja coming they have already screwed up.
IMHO, no ninja on FL at the moment is that worrying. Don't spend AGES in one place (and that means killing cabal guards go and hutn down cabal members FFS) and they gotta follow you. Sooner or later when they walk into the next area, as my man Al would say:
SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!!!
L-A
I haven't been assassinated in a long while.... but the times I do get assassinated, it's because I, myself, are the idiot. (I usually see the ninja before it happens, too. I'm a glutton for punishment sometimes....)
I got assassinated by the same ninja and smiled. Who cares.. you win some, you lose some. Get a life people. Risk makes Forsaken Lands what it is and what it always will be. Heart pumping and exciting. It's why we're here.
When I played Kulk' date=' my normal ceiling was around 60% at full study when my enemy was smart and used poison.[/quote']
Well, every time (as I recall) you tried to assassinate my char with Kulk you were standing visibly just spamming the command (you also didn't have sanctuary up). Of course you will have a higher fail rate then.

counter to assassinate = devotion of full time and attention

Pfffft. That should be on every character as a counter to everything. Mostly dying. ![]()
As for the post about bash, trip, etc...that, sadly, used to be my way of thinking. Envious of every other class's cool skills.

L-A, by your post I can see that this ninja that told you that wasn't a very good one. The strongest *** ninjas aren't those who hide and sudy, but those who chase (or more like, rune around) you and study you while doing it.
Your advice is nice, and would usually work against the first, less successful type of ninjas.
Not the second one though.
