So, I was ranking my new mage the other day, when I noticed how crappy things are for newbies.
Weapons are quite awful. They do like grazes due to crap Average damage.
And you cannot hit half the monsters due to lack of Hitroll.
So, what if the newbie weapons that are sold in Rheydin for 500 gold, got a boost to Hitroll of +6 ?
This only affects newbie cause who wants a weapon with damage like that.
And while we are at it we can up a bit the Two handed sword from mithril Golems. I will go on a limb and post my 6 years old Id.
Object 'two-handed two sword' is type weapon, material steel.
Extra flags: magic antievil.
Weight is 24, value is 3300, level is 26.
Weapon type is two-handed sword.
Damage is 2d12 (average 13).
Affects hitroll by 2.
Affects damroll by 3.
We could easily change this to:
Object 'two-handed two sword' is type weapon, material steel.
Extra flags: Bless magic antievil.
Weight is 24, value is 3300, level is 26.
Weapon type is two-handed sword.
Damage is 2d12 (average 13).
Affects hitroll by 6.
Affects damroll by 6.
This ways we would see Meeles above 16 walking around with this, instead of asking someone to get a sharp glaive.
The sword is still crap to medium ranks, but awsome for the younglings.
