I have noticed that most of the items within the Milieu are geared toward melee characters. Would be nice to have a few items that a mage can use like + hp or + mana and a small amount of Saves prizes. As is it appears to only have some earrings that are decent for low to mid level mages. Anyone agree?
Milieu
There are some -save prizes already. As far as +hp/+mana, I'm unsure. But I agree.

The best item, by far, in the arena is geared towards mages/hybrids (though only a tiny few classes can get it.
The steel coif is pretty bug if you ask me.

and depending on what you put in it it can be caster or melee.

If it is the item I am thinking then yes it is very nice but that is more geared for Clerics, Healers, Shamans, Paladins, Dark Knights. I am talking about something actually useful for say Necro, Invoker, Battlemage. However the battlemage would get decent use from most of the items allready there. As well was talking about if you notice my post above (Good mid ranged armor from the arena lvls 25-35.) That item would be much beyond that.

Mid lvl prizes with saves, hmmm I have only seen perhaps two and one really isnt that great for mages. Seems it would be more geared for melees.

Nope, dosn't seem so ![]()
While I do not disagree with the intent or concept of this post, I do feel the need to point out that it is a Combat Arena, controled by clan Battle. I actually find it somewhat fitting that the "prizes" are designed for melee combatants. Now, as far as adding a few items that are designed for a caster/communer, while I am not against it I can see where clan Battle's Immortal Leader may not see it as his job to dress his opposition. The Merlin I read about did not enter the games with the hopes of winning the prize, instead he influenced those he knew would win that he could rule from behind the throne. The point is while you may be seeking special wares, I would not expect the average caster/communer to be all fired up to "compete" in the Arena. {Mind that this assumes caster/communer does not follow the Combat religion} Many of you read Salvatore, would the Lady of Silverymoon compete in an Arena? Not could she, for she would tear any opponent apart, but would she?
Alustriel would simply incinerate the arena only if she thought it was a blight (aka belonging to nexus) I agree with that though. On a little side note. Alustriel versus Robillard would be fun and enjoyable to watch, in a sparring sense. I love them both too much to want them to kill each other.
How about an arena where, instead of one fight and then the vault, you fight a fight, and have 6-7 tics to rest up. In that time, you can choose to leave and recieve a prize, or stick around and fight something a little tougher, for a better prize. Maybe like 7-8 levels. Perhaps, maybe even make the fights hard enough to merit a 2-3 man group, to bring team/unit tactics into play. Or, some kind of point system to where you can trade in points for prizes.
I'm just daydreaming. Got on the idea train, and just rode it.

this reminds me of WoW lol...

Like this alot.
Added prizes;
Championing the Arena, which in the case of three man groups should be extremely dificult, could grant items that rival things in a certain hard to reach area. All class specific.
Further thought, when I hear "so and so" is to fight the undead wight in three hours, i do not hury to buy my ticket. But if I were to hear "Sir Caiden, Sir Arvelo, and Lady Andrella(sp?) are to take on the Gauntlet in four hours", I am so at the ticket booth!
I would be too, considering 2 of them are deleted/gone.
Sir Caidon flies in.
A zombie of Arvelo flies in.
A zombie of Andrella flies in.
