We all know by now that this skill is 100% useless. This forces RP points to be used for identify or building of the binoculars. Yes, I know of the binoculars and yes, I think they are stupid. Why are they stupid? Well, you go through all this trouble finding out how to build them to be given 0 hours of unlimited identify. Why is this crappy? Well, the item also has a cooldown. What is the problem with this? Not everyone in this game has all the time in the world to sit there and slowly wait for an item to be used again. Maybe someone is amidst a battle of PK and needs to quickly attempt to gain something but are unsure of the items quality. Maybe they're scared to touch it as it is no_drop, no_remove, no_uncurse. All I am asking here is that the lore skill be given the same respects as identify, allowing the user the knowledge of the item 100%. Now, before people start saying, but there is a perk for that. Really? Who is going to select that perk?
Skill: Lore
I'd agree, but there a lots of 'useless' skills like that in the game. They are there if people want to train them and they do have a use (burning hands? cause critical? cause serious?). They all have a purpose, but their use is nearly worthless at end game. Same with lore. Lore works until you have enough RP point to purchase identify. Don't want to wait? Run the Asylum apartments and run off and purchase it.
I don't disagree that lore could use an upgrade, but if that is going to happen, then upgrading other skills as well should happen. I'd love to see linking spells. I.e. You train burning hands and master it, your firestorm has an extra chance to fireblind. You train lightning bolt and master it, your call lightning has a VERY low chance to shock as well.
There is a perk that does exactly this

You can make multiple sets of binoculars, if that's of any help. The cooldown is tied to the item, so you can have multiple uses on demand.

That's so lame. Come on.

I don't agree with how Warmaster is limited, especially when it comes down to alignment protection. But, they do get a ton of benefits instead. The only cabal in the game that can purchase mal cures, literally. Everyone else is running around grabbing gyvels, dark red potion, oranges and apples.

You can get masses of gyvel herbs from a Merchant, and we're also talking about identify/lore.
Easy, just make an edge that turns lore into identify. Call it lore master.
An even more interesting idea would be to have Lore when above 100% proficiency become identify.
This would force players to master it, then get some sort of +% lore gear to access it. Also give Gnomes racial Lore. And will keep the them of Identify better than Lore as it needs training.
