Bounties

I know there's been some questions regarding EQ circulation, and I've noticed there are a TON of items in bounties. Not like this is an epiphany, it's been that way forever... but there's so much **** sitting in limbo, maybe we could contemplate some way to prevent so much crap going onto one person's contract. Maybe one 'item bounty' per person or something, and the rest gold and cps.

Or maybe have the highest level item automatically delete and recirculate the rest of the items on the person's head.

I agree. When I saw all that **** just sitting there I gasped.

I can't locate objects.

Help me out on this one.... A dozen or so Items are placed on some Hellacharacter. But his/her cabal is alligned with the Bounty Hunters, so instead of collecting these trinkets the Bounty hunter lets this Hellacharacter bribe his way out of dying. This transaction is most often in gold. The Items stay in Limbo right?

I thought they went back to the guy that placed the bounty?

You are correct sir. That guy, more often than not, puts them right back where they were before.

And if the guy who placed the bounty doesn't log on, then they sit in limbo eternally - or until malch manual purges the system i guess

So... If say a certain knight is fond of the Mindflayer. And uses it to destroy my chars, I should gather those flails and place a bounty on the syndi rat himself. Major thumbs down on that piece of code.

it happens quite often. How many times have you seen someone on the top10 who you never see logged in. Honestly I think the best way to curb this would be eliminating placing eq bounties all together. Gold, and CP are fine. You get people who will clear factions, and bounty EVERYTHING on shelved or inactive characters.

Imm's have said before that Bounties do not count for rare limit.

Still you can storage rares, by placing a bounty on someones head you know that they will not die. Or that it will not be chosen.

Syndicate alliances are irrelevant because anyone can collect bounties. Unless you can delete the actual bounty.

Second time I agree with you today....

Hmmm...

ps

Imm's have said before that Bounties do not count for rare limit.

Have they? Quote?

Before your time F00x.

If i could Quote i would.

Just trust me

See if that works

MUUUHHAAHAHAHAH!!!!

By the way, the best way to take Mindflayers out of the game is to have a thief purge them from the said character, and then stash them inside another elf character of your own.

Dirt and disarm the dam ranger. Mindflayers are not cursed.

See if that works

I put a bounty on your head IRL.

Who the **** is killing mindflayer for a pair of old reeboks and half a six pack of pabst blue ribbon?

Who the **** is killing mindflayer for a pair of old reeboks and half a six pack of pabst blue ribbon?

eye see you said he would do it for just the pabst.

I know when you put the rare into a bounty it goes out of circulation, However what about someone who has placed 6 or so bounties then they have been collected and he leaves them in those bags you get when they are collected and doesn't log on for them to dissolve.

So a guy can actually save quit with about 10 rares sitting in his little bags and doesn't have to worry till he logs on next because they will still be there till he is ready to take them out.

But people die and get looted etc. I think the baggies are a way better place to chill than in some Syndicate bounty hall waiting to be collected. I like getting rid of eq bounties. I really do. That will also get rid of crap bounties like elemental bracelets and stuff too, for the cheap bastards.

Why not have it so that you get a note when your bounty has been collected and what is inside, from the time you log on and get it a timer starts. You have X amount of hours to go somewhere and pick it up or... you could go to the office and exchange it for a considerable amount of gold or some other type of reward. If you don't then it's gone in a bit.
