I think since monks have been toned down that they should receive some kind of monk subclass instead of having the option of all stances. At a certain level like 20 or 25 monks should be able to specialize in 1 defensive and 1 offensive stance which breaks down into having their own kind of attacks and skills. Also real monks are proficient in weaponry as well as hand to hand combat. I do not see why they can only fight using their hands. Also, I agree with the other post with monks being allowed to be neutral. IMO monks should only be allowed to be neutral. More to come.

This is not real life? And in FL the story of the monks is that they must choose good or evil. If you absolutely must put a real life spin on it, think of the right and left handed paths.
And you can take equal use of all my stances away from me when you beat them out of my head with a mallet.

Monks haven't been toned much at all... hell, they were boosted (fairly) recently by being allowed to second parry while in offensive.
Don't forget the boost that allows to disarm cursed weapons.
And all the nifty things kick now does.

Since when are they able to disarm cursed weapons and what exactly does the kick do?
Different stances have different affacts while kicking.
Also, read the change log, you can now disarm cursed weapons while in dragon stance.
Monks PWN. Enough said.
I've had a sweet RP/PK idea for a Knight monk. Itching to try it out but I don't want all of that training. ![]()
