Cabal Eq.

Perhaps someone can help me understand cabal eq. but I believe that it should cost less (and toned down) or make it where it can't be sac'd. I'm in the process of relearning the game and cabal eq is pointless to me because I die too much and it always get sac'd so I cant afford to buy it. Should this eq only be bought by vets who don't die much?

There have been quite a few threads about people suggesting that cabal EQ should be made non-sacrificable. I have no idea why it still isn't...

Either that or it should cos MUCH less.

no joke, shelling out 1.8k cp to get that l33t item, then dieing to a steamrolling vet who full loot and sacs it all is just ****ing weak.

I agree 100%

I second IK4L times 1,112. At least make it perma-bind.

/agree with all of the above.

I really don't buy cabal eq. It's just a waste when you can expect to die. Playing isn't about not dying, but with that hardcore cost of decent cabal eq that is a stupid move away from being sacced, it's hardly worth it.

Cabal eq should go back to being what it was in 1.0... a basic set that cost you barely anything that would get you back on your feet if you died and were full looted, with a few high-end items that cost a pretty penny to get but are worth it.

For those who have no idea what Pali is talkin about, it worked a bit like this:

Ghaerk: [==-|---|---|---]

<88hp 235m 399mv>

Lerial sends you sprawling with a powerful bash!

Lerial's bash decimates you!

You sure are BLEEDING!

A Divine Knight has some big nasty wounds and scratches.

Ghaerk: [=--|---|---|---]

<63hp 235m 399mv>

You block Lerial's squire's attack with your weapon.

You parry Lerial's squire's attack.

A gleaming steel staff shines with inner light.

You can feel a gleaming steel staff dig into your body.

Lerial's wrath injures you.

Your poison scratches a Divine Knight.

A Divine Knight's slash decimates you!

You are stunned, but will probably recover.

Ghaerk is using:

(Glowing) a brass oil lamp

(Black Aura) A black reaper's hood

(Black Aura) the Shroud of the Shadows

(Black Aura) A set of black crystal leggings

(Black Aura) the Scimitar of Misery

Got a basic set, it really wasn't much, but it was enough at the time that I could heal and go collect my malforms from their cabal. I think you had to unghost to get in there.

I am all for that as well.

The current cabal eq needs to be owner only. If you have to pay a few CBs to perma-bind it, that's cool. But spending 1500 - 2000 is a waste.

We are getting very liberal with the discussion of cabal and item specifics as of late. Let us keep a vigilant eye on what we post.

just dont get it until you get a basic set of eq, and wait until your confident

Sure thing cap'n. I never blink.

^this.^

And then, once you waste your 3000 CP on the armor, you will die and get a full loot in the next PK. Trust me on this.

I dunno what I posted here that wasn't appropriate, but there must have been something...

Agreed.

I'm not keen on the idea of having nosac/bound cabal EQ aside from the current methods of doing this (binding).

Dey

Man, I hate it when I spend a day and a half getting the most hardcore rares I can find for my level only to die and lose them... I think they shoudl be made nosac-oowner as well.

Everything about this game is losing what you have. I'd say make the gear less than amazing, better than standard armour but not as flashy as rare, and then make it cheaper. But why, for any reason, would having non-sacable, cabal only items be a good idea?

a-g

Revert back to 1.0-like cabal gear.

Cheap, better than average but not strong.

Remove life insurance.

Remove binding.

Fight like men.

I've never once used life insurance or binding. Always seemed softcock to me. Removed the thrill from the game, and the risk which made it enjoyable.

I've had >10k cp's on characters, so its like I was lean on the cabal points, I could have been permanently life insured, lol.

I concur. Axe it.
