I don't think an outlaws gear should be stripped from them if they are captured by a mob guard. This has happened to me on countless occassions, and I lose EVERYTHING after beating an opponent narrowly, because a guard attacks me and sends me to jail. Does anyone else see this as unfair? I can understand if a TRIBUNAL *EDIT (or their blood guard) *EDIT catches me, but a mob? Come on!
Idea for change with Outlaws
I don't think that guards (mobs) should automatically capture criminals like that at all.

AMEN BROTHER!
Don't certain skills help with certain problems such as this?
You figure they would...but...it didn't.
O.o Really? Odd.... never failed for me.
Never worked for me...lol
Never worked for me...lol
Report it in the prayer forum then? Dunno, just a thought...

Heh, while that would be convenient, realistically (i use the term loosely, we're talking about a text-based game) a town guard wouldn't just let you go, and probably wouldn't leave you armor and weapons. Though dressing you in rags would be kind of funny ![]()
I remember an idea someone had some time ago with making the Island of Exile the recall point for exiled folk. I think we could expand on this idea some.
Make the Island of Exile more city like, but keep it locked. Keep it locked and have a key held by a gate keeper on both sides of the gate. If you want in or out, you got to fight for it.
Exiled or Outlawed folk, when captured by basic mobs, or when recalling, get sent to the island instead. When captured they arrive in a stunned state similar to a challenge loss.
If a Justice is on when a basic mob sends an outlaw packing for exile, the royal can make a run to exile and chance a nab, it gives the outlawed folk some chance.
Basically the only time a player dies to a basic mob while wanted is when he's already in pk with someone else. This just gives the player a little bit more of a chance to not get screwed over by bad circumstance, but not give a complete out. Anyone who was in combat with them now knows where they are and knows they are stunned, and it's a race to the isle.
Just a thought, maybe others can expand on it more.

Yes, in-game wise though, it looks like you just got full looted by a mob.
Besides, gameplay should ALWAYS be over realism

If that were the case, when put into ------- or Charm, or after smoking herbs, you'd see the code of the game and realize it was pointless because you were just a string of characters in C programing.

edit: It was brought to my attention putting up quest class/cabal skill names is taboo. Which brings be back to the days where everyone knew about Conclave but called it "???????" and referred to things as "Vamp skilled".... when 99% of the games knows about it it makes me question why it's still secret, or further when more people know about that skill than where to get a barrel of water (West of Val Miran, south, east, in cabin) or that 18 wis get's you 3 practices a level while 17 int makes you learn in two practices. But, rules are rules!
personally I think the outlaw flag is applied to easily.
My current was made outlaw for attacking the prison guard ONE SINGLE TIME. I had been wanted only once prior. Now I permanently have to put up with guards and no town shops. Though to me it is honestly only a minor inconvienance I have seen people delete because they couldnt handle it.
yeah.. don't break the laws and you won't go outlaw. Pretty simple. I would reckon that breaking a buddy out of jail and massacring the jail guards, in the real world would warrant you much more than an outlaw flag. Probably death.

Odd... doesn't seem to be the style of the current Tribunals. Much discussion happens pro and con to whether someone should be made outlaw..

I would prefer death than being outlawed in RL if I had 60 lives there as well
Well think about it. If you are an outlaw, and you don't have insurance, and you are one hit from death, would you prefer to lose all your eq to your oponent or to mob capture? Personally i'd rather it go to mob capture, at least you can get this stuff back after a shift. That is to say that your oponent does win.
I'd prefer the person myself... I freaking hate dying to a mob. It always makes me feel like an idiot.
Never worked for me...lol
Then I don't think you are thinking of the same thing they are thinking of... Or maybe you just aren't using it properly?
I like the Isle of Exile ideas... They could even have an outlaw only black market type thing that was discussed long ago.
I'd be like Australia!
Sorry L-A, had to take it.
I see...gotcha
