Cool idea for you Immortals

As far as directing the struggling vets, it's definitely not directed at anyone. Everyone who has played a monster character has played many more absolute weaklings that they deleted and didn't bother making a deletion thread about. Ulmusdorn just means everyone who struggles, and we all struggle from time to time

I don't think this is true at all. I think when you first start out playing FL, you are a weakling, because you don't really know anything and it's all new. However, once you get into the swing of things and become a 'Vet' and eventually get to that monster status, you don't really downgrade from there. The only time you will be trash is if you try something brand new that you don't know, then ya, sure, there will be rust because you've never played that class. But if you've played a class before, there is not real downgrading, you will always shake off a little rust if you've been away from the game for a while, but overall you'll be back in full swing kicking butt as per usual.

Why are we even arguing about this? I guarantee you if I played a DK I would suck. I can't handle the class, I've tried, still suck. Other classes, I'll hand all of you your asses ;)

Lets not spiral this into an argument. Thats enough said.

It's definitely just you. I don't really know what about me saying don't make newbs easy eq farms is salty.

Maybe your right, usually you have a lot of great points and break stuff down very well, just felt that last few post been a little salty. Maybe it's just me reading it wrong.

Arguing? Who is arguing, that is the crappy thing about txt'ing, you can't feel the tone from someones voice lol. This is by far no arguing at all, not even maybe. and yes, I agree man, if you don't know, or like a specific class, ya man , you will get spoon fed. I was more or less talking about using a class you are accustom too, that's when I don't feel anyone would not be beastmode. You only get stomped if you don't use the class or have taken a serious long break.

I think you you could kick some serious buttocks as a DK, maybe you just don't like the play-style, but your PK IQ is really high so I'm surprised you couldn't adapt.

Flattery goes a long way. Although as I've never revealed a mort character I don't know what its based off ;)

I would of if it was just you ;) you'd be surprised who gets the 'most' help here.

Can you teach me your elite strats please 🤔

The point I was trying to make is going from newbie to vet is a lot of information overload and repetition. Waaaaaaay back when warmaster had the pupil thing going on I was denied entry to warmaster as a pupil because I couldn't run from miruvhor to Marak in the dark with no light at night. Now why the hell would they care about that? It's because they wanted to make sure I knew enough about FL to be able to handle the responsibility of being a wm. I was annoyed then but honestly they where correct. I wasn't ready to be a wm. So I learned to run everywhere. I'd ask shamans to blind me so I could practice. The game is hard, and decking out newbies is just making them a target. If someone is isn't decked running around they aren't pulling aggro from the fresh bloodthirsty 50s looking to gear up. That's all I'm trying to say.

This is me with Every Melee class that exists.  Just suck.  Give me a mage class and I can do well after a month of dieing.  Every new character I make is hardcore first.  Try some shit out die a bit.  Then make the real one after.

Then youve never posted a log on prayer form of getting your ass kicked and had Ulms be like you need to do this, this, this, and this.

Then you do it and kick some ass.

@ulms

As per the small mortal perks for imms:

Imms are very strict on trying to ensure an even playing field for their own morts. Usually they require considerably more time/effort to achieve than normal players just to shake any appearance of favoritism.

That said, being an imm does give you a lot of small perks. You know how people are equipped. You can watch all sorts of fighting, see where/how certain people run, see their tactics. You can see their score sheets. You know who is in what cabal and how well they are doing. Plus all sorts of other things. In short, they can gain quite the PK edge just through knowing/observing more without cheating. On the RP side, they know what staff likes to see, so they naturally are good at achieving success in plots/etc.

Of course, many (most?) imms can't PK that well, so it doesn't really hurt. 😛
