Bash Lock

Hm, I think it would be cool if warriors and zerks could bash a lock open, like with the butt of their weapon or something like that. Just an idea.

i dont think 'bash lock' means what you think it means. i had to reread that post a couple times.

I know what bash lock means, i meant it in a different context. Not bash locking someone, but to bash a lock.

There's a similar skill in the game already, no?

I kind of like rogues being the ones able to open locked doors (with a few exceptions).

Only rogues? A few others Knock, and not to mention pass door..

Actualy its a pitty that Knock does not opens chests or cabinets.

Warriors should not have access to it. Summoning to locked doors is a mage tactic.

Any CLOSED door will stop a summon. Anyone stupid enough to stand in a room with a lockable door that's open after being summoned, well, they got it coming. Or, if the mage is unlucky enough to have summoned Triathix...

Should not have access to what..? I mean lock on a door. Like a locked door, warriors should be able to bash it open..

Yakes, i remember the times of being necro summoned to locked doors.

I was talking more about the lines of citadel and others...

Quite interesting you can even open doors blind.

What is the point of rogues pick lock if any warrior can bash that door open or goodies chest ?

Heh you can ask the same question about any class with Knock and Pass Door. Although I guess that having three classes that can't get through locks is effective? I mean, most communers/mages and any class that can summon can get through. Meh, just an idea.

???

What has summon to do with pass door ?

Any class can have pass door as a potion or item. Mages, have it more easy because they can cast that magic.

Few classes can pick doors. Thieves, Ninjas, ?Bards? and Invockers.

..summon something with something that can get you through a door

Some warriors... can bash a door open.

Hmm.

Yeah, it's just unnecessary. There are plenty of things that make sense and still shouldn't be implemented. Like why can't battlemages trip or kick dirt? It's not rocket science, they have legs. But warriors don't need a way to open doors, it's supposed to be a minor weakness of the class. Even if it does make sense.

Triathix without his beasts in a locked room with a mage? **** I'll take those odds.

You can summon people behind locked doors, but from what I have experienced you cannot summon someone behind a locked door when it only has a one room exit.

Correct. Though the door does not have to be locked. You cannot summon someone into a room where the only exit is blocked by a door. Period.

Could you thought of a more complicated way to say it?

The rule is always you cannot summon someone to a room with no exits.

Open a door (so there is an exit), summon someone then close the door. Done.

As for warriors bashing open doors - its called [edited]. Like Twinblades says there are those who can do it and those who cannot. I'll leave everyone to work out who can and can't.
