'I propose two new types of editors. We have a description editor which works amazingly well and lets you bring in prewritten descriptions very easily. it lets you bring in long lines, there is no formatting your word page to right margin 1.375 and it makes the process simple and painless. I think that an application editor and a note editor would be very useful. They could even be the same one with just the starting app to or note to being the difference. I dont know how hard it would be to add, but it seems like a simple revamp of the desc editor or even bring in one thats already made somewhere, and just slide it in. I keep writing, for some unknown reason, applications that are like four+ word pages single spaced, times 12. and copy and pasting it in just sucks. especially with random line to long, or app to long, or some such. These editors would simplfy the process and make many peoples lives easier. ok. Did any of that make sense or did i run around in a circle with nothing intelligible to say?

I know how you feel, I dealt with the same issue when I had certain applications (e.g. m lich application) that were very long and had specific formatting. Obviously I didn't have access to the code to redesign the note editor, so I did the next best thing. I created a plug-in for Zmud that lets me paste in my entire application un-edited, and have Zmud parse that application into an FL note format, and stream it into the game.

This essentially made it so I only had to do one copy and paste, and one click. After that, it could be 15 lines, or 15000 lines (it broke notes off into separate parts if need be).

Now, its been some time since I've played, and I've switched computers a few times since then. If there is any interest, I could try to find this and post it for anyone who wants to take the hassle out of note/app writing.

"note format" works fairly well.

Also an easy way to do it... use notepad (or any other word processor that gives equal space per character regardless of actual character size) to write it up, and in the first line put 0123456789 7 times. Easy way to keep every line at or under 70 characters.

'or in word just change your right side margins to 1.38. But yeah. I kinda forgot that other thing. lol.

Right, but all these solutions still require you to copy and paste every single line into the mud. Screw that noise. I'd rather have a script write out that note for more in game ;o)

That's why I like that RoAClient allows multiline sending. I can just copy over the block and be fine.

Do you still have to add in "Note +" at the beginning of every line in a multiline send? I've never used anything but Zmud honestly...has too much programmability for me to ignore ;o)

shrugs I just write up my apps or notes with note + or whatnot in them at the start. It's not exactly hard or time-consuming.

Automation is my friend. Anything repetitive like that I tend to just make a script for, heh.

Mushclient, input, send file, pick the file, send file window opens, box to send this at the start of each line, put note + there.
