Eldritch weapon's damtype is based upon the damtype of the danced weapon, and it WILL hit ogre vulns.
Badass polearm for goodies!
How does throw work? I thought it was material, but for some races it seems like it's the damage type (when throwing a weapon) as well, unless I was unaware of a certain undead vuln.
Those edged weapons will become the material they're made out of when edged. Only works on rare weapons though. A lot of the times they're made of iron and such though. As for throwing weapons/shields and such, I believe they'll still hit the vuln.
Well, if the weapon/shield/shuriken/card/dagger is made of the element (durindel, for example), then I'd expect it to hit a vuln.
Ice daggers/shurikens will hit an ice vuln.
An icicle, when thrown, will hit an ice vuln.
Silver daggers/shurikens will hit a silver vuln.
A weapon made of silver, when thrown, will not hit a vuln.

Actually I'm pretty sure it does, if you hit a drow with it. Same for iron against an elf.
What I'm not sure about is if it does holy damage, will it hit a vuln. It seems to, but I was thinking that maybe it was because it was silver and I just didn't know about that vuln.
I know it doesn't when wielded. I'm fairly sure it doesn't when thrown (as in by a ranger), however, silver cards, daggers, and shurikens will definitely hit werebeast vuln.
They do when rangers throw them.
I'll defer on that one, because I never actually tested it.
A thrown weapons damage type is the same as its material. That is, throwing something made of wood will hit a storm giant's vulnerability.
Back on topic, I dare you to make an uber sweet goodie polearm, time to roll up some pallies and crusies.
There are five really sweet goodie polearms.
Two are just regular, one is socketable, one is nodrop, and one is noremove (and socketable).
Evils have:
One regular, one socketable, and two noremove (one of which is socketable).

I believe he was talking about really really sweet polearms, not just really. ![]()
In that case, there are two in the game.
One is usable by anyone, the other is usable by evils and neutrals only. But, it has a cost that some people can deal with, and some people can't.

That I know for sure, but does the damage noun also go into effect, for say a holy weapon. It seems to.
