Addict perk

Too much of a perk? It does seem everyone chooses this almost. PK characters anyway......

Maybe it should have a small drawback? Addiction comes at a price, smoking too much grass has made your reflexes somwhat slower.

Um yea.. How baout we implement this on only new characters? Lol..

Secondly, smart people will choose different perks. There are easy ways around addiction..

To my knowledge, all perks have downsides. The helpfiles doesn't tell the whole truth...

Your knowledge is flawed. Adventurer, for instance, has no downside.

I'm pretty sure most perks at least hint at their downsides if they have them.

I know at least one that doesn't. That doesn't have to mean ALL perks have downsides though...

Not really. Yes, smoking drugs back to back will stop the damage. However, the addiction is still there.

Adventurer has a downside as in this is a game where hasty leveling oft results in a lack of training.

Only among those who don't know when to just stop and train. And learning to do that is part of the game.

Logically I always thought it weird. Doesn't an addict have MORE of an addiction to the drug. Why would an addict be immune to withdrawl? They should have much stronger withdrawls....but maybe should gain a slightly higher benefit from the drugs as they are used to operating under that influence.

Like longer affects from the herbs.... hrmmm.... hrmmmmm....

like building up a tolerance and needing more and more to get the desired effect. having their bodies full of junk all the time they would be accustomed to overloading their systems regularly. perhaps making it non-fatal and implementing a stat penalty until they get their next fix, stat penalties would depend on the drug class. (no way this is going to happen, it would be a pain in the *** to recode but i'm on a rant).

I like addict the way it is, personally.

Actually, be quite easy to recode to fit that:)

You have to drink more?

The game is meant to be balanced at 50, yes? Maybe the perks are the same. Adventurer has no downside, but also has no upside.

Ones I know with no real drawback are pious, short, tall, adventurer, bookworm, tinkerer, charismatic, there may be more but I do not have the game in front of me.

Heroic

Sickly?

I would be really surprised if there wasn't a downside to sickly.
