Warriors, Zerks needing...

You can buy sanc pills. 1000 gold.

Huh? If I'm thinking about the place your thinking, then you can't. I'm assuming you're talking about the guy in miruvhor, but he only converts vials into pills. You need to already have a vial in your possession to transform it into a pill.

The guide is a good one for people new to the class. You need to remember when it was written:

  1. There as no pugil.

  2. There were no paths.

Pugil alone will solely allow a warrior to kill a berserker unsanc'd. Skullcrusher means haymaker is the #1 mage and cleric killer.

Crypt is right about raging when ranking though. He also makes a good point about getting saves up - with rage/cry/zerk you can skimp on hit/dam for saves which can help a lot.

Cheers,

Get a L50 Sant, that way you wont need to cast it every 2 hours.

"Note: I had -36 saves with Smash at level 50"

Great focus on save, NOT!!!

Saves back then weren't as easy to come by, if I remember right.

Mya: ROFL - you crack me up. -36svs on a melee is about all you'd need. Perhaps as an ogre you'd try to push to -50svs. Its not about not having things land, its about making it a bit harder so you have the time to beat the caster up ;-)

Crack: Saves were easier to get, a lot of hit/dam gear came with -svs too. Having 60/60 and -50svs was pretty much the norm for players who'd done Winter/Factions a few times. No one cleared gear or desolation back then.

Gear didn't exist back then. Not when Smash was around. I'm pretty sure it was done within a week of it opening by a crew (this was back when a trained battlemage could solo pretty much anything under the sun). I know I never ran it until much later. The game today is completely different from the game when 1.0 opened. People often tout an improved pbase, and to some extend I'd agree, but I'd also say that we're all playing a much different game. Same look, similar feel, totally different mechanics and nuances. Shamans, for example, still had enhanced damage in 1.0 and casted mals at the same level as a necro.

While the pihlosophy/idea behind berserkers may be similar, the game and the class are totally different today. Thus I'd agree that a new guide should be looked at.
