I guess they have a secret reason for it so there cant be abusive behavor thats the only thing I can think of to sufice.
whats supposed to suffice for my 58,000 exp penalty at lvl 45 and con loss for trying to get my corpse in there while naked? I honestly think its a bit overkill to expect that from someone.

You will most likely just have to deal, ive ran into the problem several times The frosaken lands are just that, forsaken. I usually dont say anything because I knew what I was getting myself into after the first time I died there. Its one of the only places like that so its not so bad.
You could always just sit at your pit and strike up a conversation with someone and have some rp fun out of it.
Yeah, it sucks to die in there, so just watch your step, and learn how to walk through there blindfolded. And don't go in there at lower levels.

Heh, I remember back in the day that I used to remake all my characters after getting killed because I couldn't find my corpse. This was below level 10

Ky is right - don't even bother if its in the forsaken lands. Even if you have cabalmates to help you is risky. Just wait for it at your pit.

unless its in daylight and youre confident enough on where it is, then its not to hard. But waiting at your pit takes 0 effort and its all the same
dont be in such a hurry, theres a lot to see and do if you slow down and read some descs
It worse for healers who go there trying to perform a ressurection.

I used the Forsaken Lands to solo rank a few invokers the last few levels to 50. All those magic attacks doing absolutely nothing...
well, don't up and just go and take their advice to wait at your pit. Beware of pit sitting, because a lot of the chumps who play will still kill you while youre there naked. Also, seven months ago ghosts still couldn't get into the forsakenlands.
Safe way to pit-sit... when you die, log off for ten minutes, then log back on. You'll still be a ghost, and you should remain one long enough for your eq to come back.
Yeah, Pali is right. You remain a ghost as long around 8 minutes or so and your things come back to the pit at roughly 15 minutes. You can quit and log back on at 10 minutes or wait until 12, which in some cases your things might be back at your pit, but it's that much closer to being there. It's based off how far away you died from your pit so it could take a bit longer or it could come back sooner as far as I've seen.
Used to be death didn't cancel the bloody timer, so you couldn't log off right away. I asked that this be changed to prevent rage deletes. I don't think the purpose was to enable you to remain a ghost until your things showed up at your pit.
