The know alignment spell reveals to the caster the path of alignment which the
affected person follows. All mages have the ability to learn this spell.
Not battlemages though...

That and it shows what religion they follow. I've never found a use for it. Ever. If it was tweaked and changed slightly I might enjoy it some more, but as is it's never really been useful except for an RP perspective. And even then it's limited.
I find it useful. You can find out much from a persons religion. If it's a cleric, the use is obvious, but besides from deciding what divine intervetion you might expect, religion sometimes tells how agressive someone might be. Followers of death religions and discord tends to be more aggressive, for example. Know alignment = know your enemy. 
But just because people follow those religions might not necessarily mean they are aggressive in nature. Could mean that they believe MOBs are true people just like any PK and that they hold more in death than in life. I just assume that everyone in my PK range will be naturally aggressive and either attack first or be attacked, or run and hide, prepare and then attack just in case they're prepared and you aren't.
Yeah exactly. Its a pretty limited skill. Plus within the first 10 seconds of combat you can tell what religion a cleric is. And if you cant last 10 seconds against a cleric it doesnt matter then does it 
Tells you about possible qrace/class wannabees. Tells you about DK malforms. Tells you about healers, clerics, paladins, anyone who blesses themselves. And the RP it brings is priceless. And besides, when you let people know IG that you practiced it, they think you're a noob and you gain that little edge.
I did it as my Healer just to have something to master. I don't know what DK malforms do now that it's been changed since I've been out a while so it doesn't help me in the least. You can tell who's the wannabe's with the ones that stop at lvl 30 or just before and are human. Don't care if they're Vamp, Undead or Demon wannabe's they're all the same. Stop, kill, a lot of the times have little to no RP.
I just want it, thats all. No details, and no, definatley not an easy mastery. Plus the helpfiles says it should be there for bmg's and its not. I WANT A REFUND!

A lot of them do that. A lot of them doesn't get their qrace.
