CP for quests..

cant these accumulate so when you do join a cabal you get them...i hate when i forget a quest that gives these then do it before i am cabaled, its like a penalty for knowing

thats actually not a bad idea.

or just save them for when you get cabaled, cause like, I think thats how it was supposed to be

why is it "supposed to be" that way?

i mean...cabaling is quite time consuming...so i knowingly cant go or get this or go to the other because im not cabaled yet or i get SEVERELY penalized by the missing cp...

yeah but that limits your character pre cabal, why should you have to avoid doing things with others just so you dont get jipped of the cp, I actually think its kinda ooc because of that fact. anyways....

OR we could just let them accumulate. And perhaps get a small amount, around 5 CPs or so for doing clan quests? That way it adds even more of an incentive to go do them.

ehhh...clan quests = free easy gold, and tallies of your "dedication" and "knowledge"

Adding CPs would be kind of redundant and a little much imho..

but truthfully...

...that says it. Its doing with others AND taking advantage of quest equipment too, mind you.

what did you mean by your second statement reguarding what I said?

Cabal quests serve many purposes

1., they show dedication to the clan, i have been promoted for finishing them. The elder/imm can often see you do it and promote you right there. Actually i know of 5 times this has happened to me on different characters.

1a., they also show how much you know about the realm...i am sure those "eyes in the sky" notice those things.

  1. Free gold. heck, why not.

Adding cps to quests...eh...clan quests bring a lot of benefits both in an immediate reward and a speedy run through the clan. Add cps? in my opinion that would be to much.

With the company I work for now, they will pay for my education (a degree in this case) as an award, for bettering myself and giving myself more value to the company.

If I would have taken a degree before joining this company, they would not pay me, upon employment, the money they'd normally have given me if I'd have taken it whilst working there.

I can appreciate the two situations are not the same, but you see what I am getting at. I don't think you should get the CPs for quests you've done before joining the cabal, at all. If I'm perfectly honest, it sounds like you want the ease of being able to do the quests when such a situation arises that would mean you can do them easily, pre-cabal, and be able to get the CPs when Caballed. If you want the CPs, wait until you're caballed - simply NOT doing a small amount of quests until Caballed, is not going to do you any harm, whatsoever, unless you're talking about going to a certain couple of EQ spots. Oh well, win some, you lose some, and you can't have everything.

Also, by doing the quests prior to being caballed, you are not 'severely penalising' yourself at all, as it is not any sort of requirement to have to do these quests and get a large amount of CPs straight off the bat, to do well in a Cabal, at all.

No what I am saying is that... I think it is ooc avoiding going to these places that reward your with cps when completed untill you are in a cabal. What I thought to be a good idea was say if you went to a said place and completed it, the game should remember so when you are in a cabal or finally get in one the cabal will automatically reward you with the cps you would have gained from the said quest/area.

What's OOC about it? You could just as easily argue that it is a known fact that Cabals reward their members for significant exploration and significant self-betterment. Just like I knew for a fact that the company I work for will pay for my education, one of the main factors I chose to start my education there as opposed to independently.

I know it's a pain in the *** sometimes, because once you hit 50, people usually beg and plead to be taken to those quest areas and if you don't, you're put on their '**** list'. If you want to get the CPs, risk being on the persons bad side and don't go. If you think you could better yourself by going to these places before a Cabal, then go for it. I've found that it benefits me most depending on how much knowledge of the trip I have. Who's going? Who wants what? If everyone is wanting something already and all that's left is crap don't bother going, unless you want to pop them after you run through the area.

I recall one time I really didn't want to go through one of the areas because I hadn't been inducted yet, but I found out who was going, and what they wanted and everything else I could have. Turned out I benefited more by going then rather than waiting for later. My later trips I still needed certain things but couldn't get them because this person wanted it and that person wanted something else and I was in a Cabal. Besides, you never know, you might not end up wanting to play that character anymore or you might not get into a Cabal.

Sure, that'd be nifty for people who are quest happy specifically to those places, but I don't think it should be put in. Reason being is that if those people want to go so badly, they can go pre-Cabal, but that doesn't mean you have to. Chances are they already got their CPs or maybe they missed out on them too, but either way the people who do wait to get into a Cabal reap more benefit than those who go pre-Cabal depending on the situation.

Remember to evaluate what's going to happen. If you go and you don't get something because someone else in your group decided to take it instead, kill them afterwards for the item and remember that it was your choice to not wait, not anyone else.

Why, are you specifically low on cps?

hehe no, did a quest today i forgot was a cp reward quest.

Not too hard to get CPs anyways. On one of my characters, I had over 30k cps on me before I started blowing them all on complete random things. Helped that we owned most of the land, had two of our enemies standards and none were logging on. Knocked me down to under 10k after that though and I didn't like it one bit. Then my next Cabal character after that had over 10k CPs as well, I spent a lot of time with those characters though. One had over 1000 hours and the other had over 500 spent in the Cabal alone. So yeah, time pretty much solved those CP blues. That and if you haven't tried it already, I know it was mentioned in the past, but if you go to your guild and ask for those Easy/Medium/Hard quests you get CPs from doing those as well. Not many, but if you need a quick fix, that's one way of easily getting them.

Anyone else think EyeSeeU looks like Kevin Federline?
