Monks....

If I have no weapons in my hands, I think I should get the weapon when I disarm them. MINE!

dude... what the hell is up with that signature?

I like the song, I'm addicted to it, and it prompted me to roll up my last character.

That, and I AM the Princess. And no, I won't harden up.

But as for the monks thing...I'd like to see them get that. I think with the addition of blademasters, monks went a little farther down on the food chain.

Heh, Aulian. Your blunt humor never fails us.

Hand-to-hand is fantastic for disarming already. And, Monks can do something cool with regards to disarm already, which is very, very, very powerful. Giving them this ontop would be too much, even if it was purely for offensive stances only. It might work for certain stances only, but I still don't think they need it.

Monks now, I think are pretty powerful. They do exceptionally well against casters and communers (and even better still combined with certain cabal choices).

I have always wanted to play a monk, and I always roll one to around 50 and get demoralised, and delete it. Why? Weapon training (which is required to hold your own against melee) combined with my own laziness. I spent some time training polearm, not checking the proficiency at all hoping that I'd be pleasantly surprised after a little while to see it quite high. It was at about 82%.

I think a lot of people are like me, and too lazy to spend the time training all the weapons (which is a requirement if you want to be at your full potential against melees) ontop of the rest of the training, and anatomies, and that's why there aren't that many.

Monks

How in gods name did you train your weapons? is there some sort of shortcut around just the one single attack per tick? my god ive begin my weapon training 3 times and almost died of boredom

Yes, there's a secret.

But Zrothum will never tell. It would cut into his profits.

The secret is, get an NES emulator.

Hah. Bingo.

a-g

GBA and SNES emulators FTW

GBA, anyone else wana play pokemon?

'See. I like playing monks and all. And I actually enjoy training things for no known reason, but I have no idea how to use any of the stances. and so die often and sadly.

I'm a training junkie, I guess that's why I love monks. But especially I like training spells. I even like mastering things like armor and scrolls. Somebody help me.

Ummm...I only play Fire Emblem, the revised FFs, and FIFA (May my Fifa 08 for XBox rest in peace) on GBA. I hear Emerald has a ton of depth for its subject matter. I just can't bring myself to play it.

Anything past red, blue or yellow was garbage.

Play Golden Sun. Best Game Boy RPG ever.

I love monks and training weapons is easy. When I play my monks I always master my weapons with only one practice. Grab a game system and just play that while you train. Just make sure you are paying attention. Or I might train my other stances or skills like trip and so forth. I am a master freak I must master all my skills/spells. On my shaman I have all my spells mastered except the ones that you should not bother with like cure light and such.

Wasn't this thread originally about someone wanting to disarm with a monk and seize the weapon? Do you mean into your inv or wield it? One would be drastically overpowered combined with a certain stance...the other way would just gimp you...

Amen, brotha. One prac is a little hardcore though, it only saves you 1hp down the road...
