Thinking about the idea of a blademaster disarming no_remove weapons got me wondering why/how a warrior (especially whip mastery) wouldn't have the knowledge/ability to do the same.
What are your thoughts/comments on a new warrior lore for whips, something similiar to ironarm?
(I'll admit, I'm sorta against blademasters being able to do it all, but I think if they have a skill to do it, a whip master warrior would definitely know how to do it. Being able to wrap his whip so perfectly around the weapon and snatch it with such force, no magical presence can withstand it's might.)
A blademaster in that stance has other weaknesses though. Probably unbalanced if a warrior could do it.
Warrior will have their weakness too. Whips are hardly defensive, opening them up for all sorts of hell. And from what I've seen playing warriors...whips are not as great as you would think they would be...being the most offensive weapon in the game and all that. I absolutely, without question, HATED my whip master warrior nexus.
I absolutely, without question, hate getting owned by Zehava, Kyatha, Bharg or any of the other many whip warriors because they totally own me. Because I can't flee in time.

EDIT:
Edited for clarification.
You can flee. Just not immediately. Experiment some.
See? If you vote yes, for article 452 of Reform viva la Zrothum, you won't have to worry about that anymore! Flee all you want! Rejoice!
Heh, I don't remember my whip warrior doing well at all. And I doubt the fact that they are all ogres, and I wasnt, played a big part in that.
Looks like you didn't figure out the lore very well to me.
Isn't this thread giving away too much information? I thought the ironarm stance did something very different.
Warriors already have a skill call weapon seize. Roll a warrior and read the help file if you don't know already. The only problems with fighting the current ogre whip masters today is that they all have good weapon and armor knowledge. Thus they will hit you hard, fast, and frequently. By the time you "can" flee you will be pretty much dead. Except in extreme examples.
Well most of you that are dying to whip warriors panic when you see that damage flying across your screen and do whatever happens to be the dumbest thing you could atm, and so in turn, you lose.
... Who says warriors can not already do things that blademasters may or may not be able to do?
I've never seen, done, or heard of a warrior pulling off the affect that ironarm does. And I've played weapon_seize warriors.
There could be a logical conclusion following that statement.
Oh, and stop talking specifics about selectable skills, see the forum rules.
I haven't said what any selectable skill does. If anything, I've said weapon_seize doesn't do the same thing as ironarm.
Argue with god, last time you did that you got boobs
