Guildmasters

I propose all guildmasters from all main cities cannot be attacked directly.

At the moment its only the Rheydin guildmaster that cannot be attacked.

All others (at least from xymerria, val miran and mirvhor) can be attacked by area spells or directly.

Thoughts?

Why shouldn't they be allowed to be attacked? Only a level 50's really got a chance, and they're already at the height of the guild.

I think he means about them being killed in Raids

If you mean in raids, it should affect the guildmasters. Gives incentive to every who needs to see their guildmaster to protect the city, or at least their guild, from the raiders.

Agreed. FL's a violent world. Let's keep it that way.

Raids can already kill mobs that cannot be attacked. I like them all being no-attack because if you are a spell caster and someone attacks you in your guild you cannot use area spells unless you want to get outcasted for attacking. I've accidentally casted fireball in my guild (for no real reason other than I wanted to type it) and that just sucked.

It isn't a big deal though, since all these things are easily avoidable. Its just one of those nice added bonuses that I feel could change in time.

I never knew that kind of thing really got you in much trouble. I'm surprised then that the imms let people get away with casting area spells at their cabal guards when chasing someone off.

Does your guildhall sound like it SHOULD be a proper place for you to be throwing fireballs, ice storms, flashfires, or other are spells in?

That's because we don't.

I suppose I should report it next time I see it happen, then.

How cool would it be to see somebody RP a sado-masochist who went out of his way to attack his own Cabal guard in some fit of lust, just so he could face punishment from his Cabal Leader?

Actually, that wouldn't be cool.

And would be riddled with OOCness.

Yeah.

Hey, look at that, my taxi's here.....

Well, I was speaking more of invokers and battlemages that cast an area spell against you when you're at their guard.

I can see a nexus guy letting his cabal guard take a few punches so that he can take that knight fellow. Maybe it's just me though...

Yeah, using your Cabal Guard to take hits, that's acceptable. What's not acceptable though, is say, casting fireball at your own Cabal when Knight is attacking it, as you will also be attacking your own Cabal Altar/Guard.

Theoretically, I could see a Nexus not caring if his cabal guard has to take some pain for him to kill a knight.

I can then also see Malchaeus getting pretty angry at said Nexian when he finds out the reason why Knight retook their standard/got the Nexus standard so fast was because said Nexian was contributing to the damage done against them by casting fireballs instead of something else, for example. Especially when it comes to a Knight retaking their standard, as the keeper is already incredibly weak.

We're not talking about some random footsoldier that is expendable. We're talking about the key to the Cabal's power, the guy who holds their standard. Bein evil doesn't justify attacking such a 'prestigious' figure even if it means getting at a Knight, unless they care more about the death of the Knight than the security of their Fort, and if that's the case, they shouldn't be within Nexus.
