I think neutrals are getting the shaft on the abilities. I'm not sure if there has been a thread about it before. But doesn't anyone else think they need something other than swallow. I mean look at what goods and evils get. Swallow might have been awesome back when resurrections gave back pdeaths, but now it's just weak.

Neutrals also can hunt with anyone and use a wide variety of eq. Neutrals can also be watchers.

Seriously. Who isn't going to get full after eating a freaking corpse? You figure a halfling weighs between 40 and 60 pounds... Most people are full after eating a 1 pound burger.
I think a halfling weighs more than 60 pounds. At least 80.
Now that I can see as being balanced with immunity to dirt kick and the ability to hide anywhere.

Immunity to dirt/flamestrike/blind is not exaggerated at all. Evil sliths have a lot going for them.
There is a HUGE diff between Immunity and Resistance.
The major slith perks are tail and shed, all three get them.
edit: I am 99.9% sure that the evil slith eyelids do jack and squat for fireblind and magical blindness. But yeah, dirt very often gets rejected.

You'd be wrong about the fireblind. Don't know for sure about magical blind (IE- Shaman).
However, the worst part of it isn't that they GET the "resistance"/"immunity", whatever you want to call it. It's that when the ability kicks in, there isn't a message sent to players in the room that it's been activated. So let's say you're an ogre warrior fighting a slith warrior. You kick dirt in their eyes - two rounds later, they've wiped the dirt out, you're still dirted, and you bash thinking they're blind. Bam - you're dead, because you've been outmeleed.
And a major, MAJOR slith perk that you forgot. Spear automastery. I've always wanted a slith warrior. 110% in spear, plus items.
Have sliths been changed since I played one? Last I checked they dont wipe it out at all, and you do see the message when it happens. Something along the lines of ancestry kicking in and the dirt basically fails. So this is why I believe even fireblind has the same chance on a slith as anyone else, the slith helpfile mentions the eyelid and dirtkicking.
Yes, the spear is a nice perk too.

It's been a while since I've fought an evil slith, so you could be right. But all I know is, I've lost several fights because I thought my evil slith opponent was blind, and they weren't.
I always assumed neutral sliths got swallow so they'd have more clients when 'partying' with both goods and evil.

Red slith blindess isn't the 'godsend' you make it out to be. Its easily beatable - two sets of eyelids means you have to kick dirt how many times?
Though I do think swallowing should fill you. Not to mention after swallowing someone's corpse all you have to do is spam sac 1. and all their eq is going, going.......GONE!!!!!
