Either make bows the source of magical enhancement; relying on the arrows damage dice for damage only, or make arrows nonrare. As it stands rare arrows are only used on non fired weapon chars to fill an empty slot. There's a quest you finishave that gives you more rare ammo than a level 50 with no other rares could log out with. Another factor is vuln arrows like consecrated. A goodie needs 2 world shifts and 2 game days to request them. It's the only arrow that can hurt undead, and you basically cannot stock them in any respectable amount like you can holy shurikens or daggers.
Making bows the source seems solid, it doesn't give anyone who couldn't use them access to a vuln, it also gives viability to bows besides bone bow
IMO, with the way undead regen is currently, making a lower level, lower damage holy arrow sold by a merchant is probably a good idea. Maybe holy darts as a reward from dart game instead of the the runestone blade? IDK but undead sure have a lot going for them to not have some additional danger.
At least holy works on them lol, I remember when they were first changed they were immune to every projectile in the game, holy or not.
A certain undead warrior reaver was pretty much unstoppable during that time, game wasn't even a challenge for them from what I saw.
I also never understood the difficulty required for goods to get holy arrows, currently it is WAY easier for neutrals to obtain them which makes no sense to me...
Seriously. Your fighting something that is probably vulnerable to your wielded and unwielded weapons. In all likelihood the most abundant vuln weapons in FL. But your mad because your passive unstoppable damage takes a hit. 🙃
I swear sometimes it seems like the player base is bored if not trying to get something nerfed. 🤣
Ranged weapons are too common, available to many classes, for the ammunition you seek to be so abundant IMHO.
For the record old fool, my argument is not that holy arrows should be more common (but if you asked what I thought about it I may take that very stance)
My argument is: Why is it currently easier for a neutral to stock pile holy arrows than a good.
Sure undead get hurt by holy weapons but they have a crazy amount of perks that MORE than make up for it.

Remember two years ago when undead were fine? But then they got a buff they didn't need (no arrow or sting damage)? Then the buff was reasonably nerfed (only no arrow dmg except holy) and they got another huge buff they didn't need (insane regen). So it's reasonable that holy arrows should be made a little more readily available, if at lower damage than consecrated/Knight.
But remember when they were fine before any changes? ;)
Ok full disclosure I was away for like 2 years after Grezath so maybe the meta changed to work against undead. But when I did leave there had been a few successful undead. Grezath, Zoichan, when I came back you had Donovan with lvl 10 malform (pretty sure he was pre-change but still active after the buff). So to me they were always pretty decent for many classes. Just maybe not your glass cannon types.
I don't think the changes, by concept, are bad. I just think the regen is set too high as is.
Archers are the only ones meant to have vuln arrows on tap, the others are meant to be limited. If your initial suggestion was to allow archers to make holy projectiles that are a bit weaker than the rare ones then maybe, but that's a different discussion.
Anume already said they discussed it once, and might need to again. If archers where the only ones meant to have vuln arrows, then vuln arrows wouldn't exist on mobs anywhere
Yes. On tap. This was also in place before any changes to equipment, before undead changes. I get you play an undead, and are the authority on what needs what, but bottom line is you only get passionate about change when it empowers you. You'd never in a million years admit undead bmg regen Is op, the fact they just made slow items inaccessible to undead seems pretty clear on it. Also for the record:
Steamblaster
Frosted bone arrows
Frost arrows
Consecrated arrows
Godforged arrows
Flaming ammunition
Horn bolts
Weird how they aren't supposed to be on tap, yet pretty much any race class combo can get them. I'm just pointing out that these exist, but are essentially pointless to try to stock. Then when you run out, you're SOL. Meanwhile for a few thousand gold you can stop them from anything but an archer, and even then you stop a fair sound of them (I got agmeel to big nasty with an archer, using 250 arrows in the process)
One source of holy arrows in the game, and it's the only way fired weapons hurt undead.
