Allow them to raise proficiencies over 80% below 15, just because it doesn't matter either way.
Give them the bonus of the adventurer perk.

why give them adv perk? they are meant for learning. gaining less xp = more hunting needed = more time for learning.
Agreed on the proficiencies though.
shakes head Am I the only vet who feels somewhat... I don't know, almost disgusted over people playing adventurers who have no need to use the class for learning the game (as it's intended), but just want to get the level 30 eq/golem (without the pk risk) and have them useable when they reclass to make leveling easier? I've considered doing it once or twice myself with combos that solo rank terribly at low levels, but I just feel like it's cheap.
While I have no problem whatsoever doing this (and in fact, do it with 90 percent of my characters, although never to thirty), I nevertheless agree with you. It does seem a tad wrong.
Why is it wrong? I did it once, with a slith. Any class that has low int/wis takes a while to train and doesnt get a lot of spare practices. If someone is willing to put in a lil extra time to make it easier for themselves later on, by all means do it. Its not even a huge loss in time if there are enough overlapping skills, and the speed at which you can get from 1-30 in lvl 30 eq is very quick, also makes you attractive to other people to hunt with early on.
I agree. But then it SHOULD take a bit of work. Hence why the shouldn't have auto-aventurer perk. No way.
I honestly can't give you a good reason as to why I feel it's wrong, I just do. The two times I've rolled an adventurer, I felt cheap afterwards and reclassed before hitting level five, because I knew I didn't need it. Non-newbs shouldn't need the pk-buffer, regardless of what you're playing. The low int/wis combos also happen to be the ones that can easily solo-rank those early levels anyways, and the mages that have trouble early on have very few transferrable skills from adventurer.
Like I said, I can't say why it's wrong, and obviously the IMMs don't feel the exact same, but whenever I see a non-newb do it it bugs the crap out of me.

If that remark was about Corpsestomp, I can personally testify to that fact that he is indeed a noob. So, no need to worry about it for him, he 'needs' that buffer zone so he doesn't condie by lvl 20.
sobs I do, I do runs away crying hysterically
I use adv class to with giants to get dirt and a couple weapons practiced so I don't have to use gain study so often. Sometimes with mages if groups are very few and far between.
I'll admit to using it. Though I can't possibly do it to 30, since I am very impatient. I get the 2 lvl 15 mobs for ranking, get camel hide gear and flame of kashangal. Then I reclass.
Saves time, and its great for classes that can't use scrolls, since that "mob" is good until level 30. Though I don't ever PK until 35 at the earliest, and only if i'm provoked.
