Ninja Titles

Hmm, I just thought of it.. . Miyama Ryu... I take a spanish class, and the phrase Me Lamma means my name is (probably common knowledge), but any way, miyama ryu- me llama ryu- my name is ryu... anyone else seen or played street fighter?

...wow...

WC

I really, really like this idea.

And no, I'm not just saying that so Celerity won't kick the **** outta me.

Deykari: Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but a google of the current and new rank 23 titles didn't turn up anything.

Sorry, just being an idiot. Agent Provocateur is a brand of women's lingerie (very popular in the UK).

Also a pretty good band, if memory serves

Still, why go in and code in the name changes when the whole class barely fits the theme of the realm? Not to derail, because you did a damn fine job, but it just seems a waste when I think we should have Assassins (Middle-Eastern, yes, but about the best name that can be applied and is a Westernized version of the original name anyhow). Of course, if Ninja is here to stay, then obviously your changes would make sense.

CruelEdict: Assassin is Middle Eastern' date=' not Western. This is for another thread...[/quote']

'CE, dude, we have fire giants, sliths, illithids, lichs, and psionicist and your worried about ninjas? That just don't make no sense right there i tell you what. Celerity, good job, i really like like japanese culture and history and i think it would be an awesome change to ninjas.

I see your point in the length of the title in number of words, but as i cannot speak any forgeign languages I do not want to see forgeign titles on a game thats text language is English (or so it says on the web page). And yes I dont want to derail your post and the hard work youve put into it by making this a debate about which should be used assassins/ninjas. I just not to keen on the titles thats all. Hand maiden of the nameless = bad ***, the onmitsukou whatever no whatever soushou whatever = how you spell that. Hope I dont come over to much like a dick and I dont like to hash the work youve done. But Silent Stalker, Hired Blade, The quick death, The quite knife, etc for a few shoddy examples. And if we were to use oriental titles for ninjas perhaps get some norse titles going for berserker

See, the only Asian language I know is Korean, which wouldn't QUITE fit with Ninja...

I appreciate the work, Celerity. I'll think about retitling Ninjas (is the plural Ninja or Ninjas?), as I agree that some of those titles are silly, but I've got to be honest, it's kinda low on my list.

And ninjas are staying in the game, if only because you guys need a bit of cultural broadening.

Who needs culture?

Who needs culture?

Yogurt manufacturers.

Yogurt manufacturers.

Very nice...

So one day while working at the grocery store many years ago, I was stocking the sheleves in the dairy section. And a woman asked me what the difference was between cultured cottage cheese and cottage cheese. I told her that the cultured cottage cheese was raised better. She told on me.

No comment except a smilie.

Dairy is just strange stuff all around...

I mean...if milk goes beyond its printed shelf date, it goes sour, right?

Sooooo...is sour cream only good after the date?

....Yes!....who uses sour cream anyway?....

Ninjas use dairy, its the secret 6th Ninjitsu. Now we are back on topic.

Completely and totally on topic. Whew! I was getting bored here.

Actually, milk does not sour. The question you asked, Chayesh, is based on a common misconception that it does.

For starters, let's establish the difference between cream and milk. Freshly obtained milk, after standing for between half a day and two days, will form a high-fat cream layer at the top, and a low-fat milk layer at the bottom. Using centrifugal seperators, this process is sped up by dairy product manufacturers, but it yields the same results. Cream is much higher in fat content, and milk is actually mostly water.

Sour cream is made from heavy cream that has been fermented using bacterial cultures to form lactic acid. This is a chemical process that can either occur intentionally or accidentally, but either way it yields sour cream.

Now to clarify, milk only goes bad when it has been pasteurized. Note that the milk does not go sour, but turns rancid. Souring occurs via fermentation; rancidification (yes, it is a word) occurs via hydrolisis, decomposing the lipids and fats.

It's a bit of a trade-off. Unpasteurized milk can carry a lot of harmful diseases, but it is also more nutritional and digestable. Pasteurized milk has a higher level of indigestability, is less nutritious, and can become rancid if left to sit too long, but most of the harmful microorganisms in it are killed.

So there's your daily dairy lesson.

Someone's obviously just got a job as a milkman. You learn all that for the interview?
