What if the healer got a perk that alowed them to know when someone dies in the lands.
Something akin to special Elite Qrace "perk".
So when someone dies, all healer loged on would recive a mesage.
"You sense the desperate cry of a soul as it heads into the limbo."
No need for name. After all we have locate corpse.
What would be the point? Healers lack invis/hide/camo, so anyone who does die can see and ask for them anyways.
No, people normaly do not ask for ressurections.
Because:
There are now so little healers in the lands that they forget about it.
They do not know the healer titles.
They think healers can help with PK deaths.
They get frustated from a death and just wish to quit.
Newbie dont know about healers.
In the old days you would be pestered because of deaths, now it can go days before someone asks you for help.
Also it would help inprove the Healers RP. As in a mood bringer.
"Someone dies."
CC There is again that DK feeding his malform.
...
Just fun.
Its not like im proposing assasintate for healers.
I don't really see any need to implement this idea, other than your personal comfort. Also, I personally dislike lines of code to improve RP - I remember a Val Miran healer that would use an emote every time someone died/asked for a resurrection. That was a good mood bringer and it came from the player and not from the mud.
As you said, "After all we have locate corpse.".
Lets take it a bit further. New herald notices.
A messenger runs by proclaiming, "Noob has been killed by a squirrel!"
Ah yes, the humilation.
I thought Healers already had this? lol.
Yeah it was Athara? No... Athelea? Something like that. The Queen of Val Miran, Beacon of Hope... For AGES! She was great and as I remember she played on telnet?
Ugh, how can someone even RP on telnet? boggle
would be one more reason for me not to play a healer.

That boggles MY mind as well.
Neat idea, but necros, shamans, and DKs should get it if healers do... to balance things and set traps.
Why should those class get it ?
And to balance what ?
Healers are PK restricted. As in they can only attack the Undead!!!.
You mean you wish to be informed when someone dies, so that you can go there and wait for the healer and then kill him ? :X
If people are too lazy to ask for a resurrection, tough.
If they're too new to ask for a resurrection, they'll learn.
The last thing Healers need is another nagging reason on their poor consciounces.
And....there's really not much reason. Some people just don't want the resurrection.
Should said Healer really want all that experience, they can just c 'locate corpse' every four in game hours and keep an eye on that list.
it would be a great way to lure healers to their death
Would they sense their own impending death?
I see the equivalent of this skill appearing like the prayer-restaurant scene from Bruce Almighty.
I don't see the purpose this skill would serve. A healer can locate corpse and be proactive and ask them if they wish to be raised. People who die can check who and ask around for a resurrection. The only thing I see this skill doing is eliminating the need for any sort of RP conversation between the healer and the recently deceased, and anything eliminating RP and character interaction without any real purpose or benefit is not a good thing in my book.
