Minotaur Berserker Headbutt

I propose doing away with headbutt altogether for minotaurs. Give them the race skill, gore. This is like a piercing attack, probably more powerful than a normal headbutt. If you wanted to make it really interesting, gore could also make the opponent leave a trail of blood wherever he goes. Like certain weapons and cabal skills do.

All berserkers get headbutt... no?

Yes, all zerks have headbutt.

So why should minotaurs not have it?

He wants to replace headbutt with a skill called gore for mino zerks, not get rid of it.

OR just make it a race skill. That way you don't take away the effects of the headbutt skill. They'd be two totally seperate abilities, each with completely different effects.

It would be pointless to make this new skill, "Gore." Just add the bleeding affect to a minotaur's charge. However, that would give them a very nice perk that the "race" does not need. Though if it were to be implemented then a minotaur charge should have a chance to be blocked by a shield, "damaging" the minos horns and forcing him to wait like 4 or 5 ticks before he can charge again.

Though the Minotaur race is not a problem, they're good as they are. It's the berserker class that needs tuning.

With that charge and axe mastery mino's have quite a lot of goodies for their race. I personally don't think they need more....

Mino zerks IMHO are probably the most 'powerful' zerks out there - the only real issue is that they can't be evil :-P

PS - if you are going to play a zerk remember this quote from Crypt's guide:

'A berserker is a berserker until level 30. Then they are a warrior with less defenses.'

Hmm.... I dont know about this one. I know there is a difference between real life and fantasy but I am going to point this out anyway. Minotaurs are bull humans right? Well a bulls horns are not actually designed to pierce something, they are designed to catch it and throw it over their backs. Minotaurs horns are likely designed much the same way, anatomically. You cant deny that they do cut and pierce, however more often than not people are injured by being trampled and kicked rather than being cut. Adding a 30% chance to make someone wounded, to change, would not be too bad, but I think that being wounded is already available to too many classes as is.

if it has a point... it can pierce
