Flail for paladins

Because they are worth it.

I honestly think paladins should get more, I mean look at dark knights they have way more than paladins. But paladins can also cure maledictions heal blah blah blah, other than being complete tanks they have basically nothing worth using. I have always thought they should get more than four weapons. Atleast spear or yes flail.

My reasoning for them not getting more weapons, they can cast sanc. What is the number one spell you ever want to have on you in pk? Sanc. Whats the number one spell you want to have on you during ranking? Sanc. Sanc is one of, if not the best spell in the game when you consider its usefullness and power. Yes dark knights are more offensive. But paladins are way more defensive even without sanc. DK's are a cross between vokers and warriors, Palis are a cross between warriors and clerics. So giving them more offensive weapons (eg. spear/flail) does not fit thier intended role imho. If you really want an offensive weapon (for going aginst say a battlemage or voker) then dual wield exotics. There are some VERY nice exotics out there that I have not seen used since I came back.

Well the reasoning why Paladins can not get flails is due to their clerical backrounds. Now I have not played a cleric for a while and so I do not remeber if they can use flails or not. If they can I believe paladins should get it since it is part of the clerical arsonal. If they dont then the reasoning is clear why they dont.

That is my opinion so yeah.

Unless you would like to do something along the lines as besides the basic weapons they get let each cleric/paladin get different addition weapons according to what diety they follow. Just a thought.

Clerics can use flails. A well prepared paladin eats a dark-knight without a good malform for breakfast. So there goes your reasoning Dale

Let's just see what happens in the new changes.

yea, pallies have alot of power as is. I could see a pally wielding a flail, but as far as FL goes it seems like it would give them a serious advantage over alot of classes. Imagine a Pally wielding that really nice goodie sword and that flail that is also earrings . and then you still have wrath and flamestrike. Spells would need toned down before a pally should get any more offensive capability IMHO.

Personaly i think the person that would suffer the most would be Feral Communers, just imagine a Paladin dualing some Fire Flail and disarming his shield while flamestriking.

If that means less evil clerics I'm all for paladins getting flail.

Flails FTW!!!!!

Uh, except there are no fire flails in the game.

I would debate that, depending on how specific you want to get.

Yes there is. Flaming Morningstar in the Duergar City.

paladins are fine as they are. Ever had a paladin charge you with a fire lance when you are a feral? Its not funny. Then from the lag have them flame strike you a few times.. Its not funny. If you dont have sanc.. its practically the end.

Was was convinced all paladins already knew how to flail their arms like sissies....

Smoking Flail? I always thought that was fiery.

smoking flail doesn't do fire dmg, but is enhanced with fire giant....hope thats not too much info

If palis get flails I say give dk's staff.

Oh so you want dks to have all weapons, okay cause thats fair.

Either you are being sarcastic...or did not notice that I was...

Meh.

Psycho Child casts Mass Hellstream.

Behren's has said that the Paladin/Dark-knight changes will be in effect in a couple of weeks or so, I think we should wait and see what comes of those. I personally think that Paladins should maybe have flail (as they are now) but with the new changes (whatever they may be), who knows, maybe giving them flail might be a little overpowering.

paladins are underpowered at the moment? I think not....
