Look at all the succesful rangers in pk thus far, none seem to have a problem lacking a free trip..giving them one would be a bad idea

I agree they shouldn't get it--they don't have a regular ability to lag for a reason. Actually it seems to me the main reason is that sliths are just too good a combination of strength and dex. Also the RP doesn't seem quite right.

While on the topic of sliths, why is it the neutral slith seems to get the race skill shaft. I think a neutral slith should either get a new cool and equally good race skill, or simply the choice of the good or evil one in creation.
It has its uses. Unless it was changed.
Only for full-looting, seems like. Which is still pretty shafty for both you AND the person you kill.
Not like non-sliths cant full loot. I mean if any align slith could choose of the three perks, I bet the majority would take the evil perk, many would take the good perk and few would take the neutral perk.
Since sliths are not qraces I assume we discuss the neutral ability further.

Leaves a corpse that cannot be ressurected.
Im guessing the slith can also pick the corpse up? I can see how that could be useful at times, but still not as powerful as the other perks IMO.

I believe that is correct fiere. So is there anyone that would choose the neutral slith ability over the others if given a choice? If so id like to hear why. If it is supposed to be the weakest perk maybe someone knows why???
That is correct. And there is still people who don't want thier kills raised as an rp thing. I could easily see a syndi slith thief bragging that his marks never get back up.
Wow, it would take some serious rp dedication to do that and not go for the dirt prevention. Would be cool, though.
The balance to swallow being not quite as powerful as camo or the eyelid thing is that neutral sliths are NEUTRAL. Larger range of eq, no protection weakening their attacks, and immune to align-based spells like dispel evil/good, wrath, etc.
Swallow IS powerful against neut/good align chars. But its not a GREAT perk. I still enjoy it. However, I'd say Evil slith takes the cake.
Evil slith also has the entire playerbase to fend off. They should have the best perk.
As I recall, it was stated long ago that evils tend to be a tiny bit stronger in terms of abilities and eq availabe for that simple reason: they've got many, many more enemies.
