donation drive for advertisement on TMS

hi, pals!

long story short: TMS offers a banner advertisement 'package.'

Unlimited Impressions - top of page - (728x90 Banner) $35 per month or $210 for 7 months. Your banner will be added to the rotation at the top of nearly every page on the Top MUD Sites. You will also get an icon of your choosing that will appear next to your site on the ranking list. The banner should be 30 KB or less in file size.

If we can scrape together enough donations specifically for this purpose to cover half ($105), I will match and cover the other half.

Not sure how to go about arranging transfers - staff may want it to come separately of normal donations? Let's roll! :D

who is the resident digital artist?

thoughts and prayers?

I am willing to cover the other half, or what is left to cover after any other donations come through. Send me a PM with the next step and I'm down.

hell yea! grim is in, too. i figure...give it a shot, why not?!

Im down to split it 3 ways.

Don't let that discourage anyone else from contributing.

i nominate grim for banner-making! he made my picture on this forum------

Come on guys, imagine our horned, tongue-skull pentagon dude next to the mud name on Tms.

I'll go in on this to split it four ways. The "Horned, tongue-skull pentagon dude" is tattooed on me, it should be on TMS too.

Waste of money, you will get clicks but they won't convert to players. I've done internet marketing for the last 7-8 years as well as own websites that pull in tens of thousands of clicks every day, believe me when I say that placing a banner on TMS will not produce results.

sweet!

i will match ANY amount donated to a second purpose - UC using his talents to market FL appropriately! dead serious.

edit 2: shutting myself up

took a swing at a banner example on lunch today. i think it turned out ok, but there are probably at least a few people around here that are better with le digital arts than i am. anybody?

Minutes to learn, years to master, the most addictive online game ever.

Forsake all others. :)

Is that a rare Deykari spotting?

Any alternate suggestions?

Reddit advertising. Sponsor a twitch streamer to play.

Those are what I'd do.

This day in age of gaming you basically need to steal players from other muds.  With the gaming platforms available these kids now days don't just look at a mud and go.. hey that looks fun.

I can not remember the original poster, but there was a very cool PK log that included some video clips last year. We could turn that video into a facebook commercial. Players could share.

I would rather gather a few loyal quality players than dozens of turncoats who might just be spies intent on taking all that is great of Aabahran back to their original home.

Flick a twitch streamer 50 bucks with a decent audience, to play the game for an hour or two.

Ha, it's probably worth it if it's executed well enough, even if 1,000 people watch. Who knows.
