Remove the 'nodrop' flag from them. The 'protection good' potions don't have it - both are on fairly easy to kill mobs. Why have it on one and not the other?

Because the protection of evil one is much easier to hoard (for some classes).
How is it any easier to hoard than the portection good potion? If any thing the prot evil potion is ever so slightly harder due to the location....
If you mean that protection evil is easier to hoard due to other consumables.....that's another discussion.
I think he means its easy for certian C/C classes to horde quite quickly. summon kill rinse repeat.
You can't summon the other mob?
That's a pretty weak argument.
Even if that is the case - make the mob nosummon. IIRC, Aruncus can be summoned too....
not sure if you can but ill find out soon.
For some reason, summoning and easy in the same sentence would make for some epic FL mom jokes...
You can summon the draconian, you can't summon the other mob, which makes it easier to hoard the magenta potions for many classes.
On top of that, the protection from evil is much more sought after, since its used by goods and evils, and the protection from good is used only by evils that don't already have the spell (i.e. warriors, invokers).
And lastly, it's funny how people constantly whine that consumables play such a big role now, and then there's this request to make it easier to hoard that very powerful consumable.
By many you mean three, right?
Make the draconian no summon and remove the no drop flag on the potion OR make Kashrangra summonable and make the potion no drop.
I like the second option more.
#problemsolved
Ooooh! Make them both no summon AND no drop...
By many you mean three, right? Well, that IS many, considering the total amount of classes that it's sought by.
#problemsolved Problem? You really think that is a problem?

Three out of the 15 classes that can use it can summon it.. not really many there..more of a few..
I guess if my char was the one that could stock-pile a potion, I wouldn't want it changed either. ![]()
Personally, I think alignment specific protections should be reserved for specific QRaces or those potions should be rare/unique.
Three out of the 15 classes that can use it can summon it.. 15? How did you come up with that number?
I guess if my char was the one that could stock-pile a potion, I wouldn't want it changed either. That's a silly argument considering you know who I play and that change will make it EASIER for my character to hoard it.
Once again, do we want to make it easier for people to hoard this very important consumables? Keep in mind that if so, this will make it much easier for classes that don't have access to the "scrolls" skill to get protection from evil.
Lastly, I am not against this change. By all means, please do change it.
Foxx - honestly I don't see your point. I can (and do) run around with 5+ protection good potions in my backpack.
What's so special and protection evil? Nothing. Of all the classes that can summon half can cast the spell (eg paladin).
Its not that hard to actually get 5+ prot evil potions in my backpack either. I just feel it should be an equal challenge (or not) for both types of protection.
There are more than three classes that can summon the holy draconian and would want to use the potion Trick. Dk, necro, shaman, cleric, a qclass.
Also, there would be little point in making the mob with protection good potion summonable, unless there are paladins and good clerics who want to fight other lightwalkers.

My point is, your suggestion is to make it easier to hoard a very important consumable, while at the same time, in another thread you complain about how easy it is to hoard consumables. Logic?
We already have a pbase that can grind almost everything out of what are (at times) fairly low level consumables. I don't think we need more of that.

So, what is it going to be L-A? Made up your mind yet?
Damn it...
Do you people even explore.
There is another POTION source of "protection vs evil" that is request-able and can be dropped, and is high level, meaning it will not evaporate to fast.
Let's not mess with the draconians potion which creates a very interesting dynamic with the summon, but not stockpile thing.
Uhhh, it's noDROP not noUNCURSE. Town healers FTW
Get'em, Mya!! GET'EM!
Call'em newbs and spit on'em!
Mya, you're allowed to tell em exactly where and what if you like to
Just saying.
