Log In 'Note Mode'

How about a log in mode that doesnt put your char in game but will allow you to write and post your notes undisturbed?

UC

I don't know how many times this has been suggested... Its getting pretty ridiculous.

This should not be implemented. You should not be able to influence the game without being online.

Stupid idea.  No more of these suggestions please.  No offense, but why?

Fix to your issues -

Download Roaclient

Write your note

-THEN- log in.

Copy paste to mlog send and boom, in 2 seconds you note is in.  And no one needed to code something pointless.

For those times when you need to write a lengthy or multiple notes?

Heaven forbid someone gets their RP duties out of the way before jumping into the fire. I've actually had to

abandon a note Ive tried to post 3 times now because I can't hide from x cabal or y cabal comes knocking.

I have 2 babies climbing on me all day long, needing food, diaper changes, ect so I'm always switching and playing alt

chars instead of my main chars. How selfish of me to try and keep some RP going with you guys when I have a family.

Its a stupid hassle to have to download and use additional external programs in order to transfer texts from notepad

to roaclient to zmud just to play a text based game.

I think the addition of this log in feature would only enhance the world.

Roa>zmud

Sorry bro, we all got stuff going on and cabal warfare.  It's half the game.

Your argument to me is the same as sitting in town trying to RP with a herald and that FG runs up and bashes you to death while you are trying to do a long emote.

You're an old schooler, go old school.

If you can't fulfill your RP AND PK commitments of being in a cabal, then you should not be in said cabal, let alone an Elder of it.

It is selfish of you to say this needs to be implemented because YOU can't just copy/paste like everyone else. I've used many, many different clients, including Zmud, and its NOT hard to copy paste a note from a word document INTO the game. Even if it has to be one line at a time, which I do for journals and descriptions.

Its a stupid hassle for our coder to have to spend time coding something that takes AWAY from the game. You're not interacting with the world by posting notes from an offline source.

I've sat on the Hound and typed up journals or notes and suddenly an IMM pops up and starts RPing with me. If I used an offline source, I would have missed out on that RP.

This is a terrible, terrible idea that will most-assuredly take away from the game.

and you're done. Make sure you have parsing toggled off if you use zmud.

Log out and do what you have to do.  Aside from aesthetic purposes it is true that there is no deductive reasoning for implementing this.  If you're not in the game because you spend X amount of time typing Y number of notes (where X and Y are immense numbers), then perhaps people might take notice.  Not betting on it though.  The cabal that is purposefully set up for dealing with large quantities of X and Y receives a skill to help them do it in game.  There is also the option of writing the note within your cabal as a non-Herald.

I have setting up notes/descriptions/applications down to the point I can paste, copy, and fire it off within less than 10 seconds, tops, and that's a note that requires hitting return 3 times.

EDIT:  Just to brag, I can eyeball format and create a note in game using note + and have it sent off in about 25-30 seconds, just making it up on the spot.
