It's not max 350; it's worse.  It puts you to 50% health.  For a 1000 hp necro, that's up to about 500 health.

It's not without drawbacks, though.  They're drained for a time.  For an illithid, that means no shock until it's gone.

Zerg went into shock, then absorbed the golem. Golem restore also gives him mana back after the shock takes it all

The heal to 50% health, mana and moves?  That's entirely flesh golem mastery.

Correct.  He would not have been able to consume first, then go into shock because of the application of the drained effect.  He would have consumed, then died.

Yeah I know I couldn't do it in combat as I tried to set it up once.  There is no lag for sure, but the penalty is huge.  Zerge has killed me once with this teqnique and it was fucking awesome.  I couldn't believe what happened, but I never let it happen again.
