While I think dispelling mobs sanctuary is unfeasible, I think that UC has a point.
There should more stuff that mages could do to sanctuary. And melee focused characters definitively have an advantage against mobs.
- Sanctuary piercing.
This would be an effect that would negate sanctuary, but not remove the sanctuary effect.
It should only work on mobs.
It should be an argument to the 'dispel magic' function.
It should only "pierce the sanctuary" not dispel the mob.
It's duration should be 0 hours.
Example: cast 'dispel magic' 'gorgorak' 'pierce'
- Or have dispel spell when cast check if it's a mob, if it has unlimited duration sanctuary, if it passes saves and pierce the sanctuary (put a pierce affect on the mob).
It should give a message of " your dispel magic weakens gorgorak sanctuary momentarily", or
"gorgorak sanctuary fades briefly".
And there for a brief time the bastard doesn't has sanctuary.
Better the second way, since it's more consistent and balanced. Works for all, even DK lead mobs, Tribunal guards, etc.
