Although many a weapon carries a curse so that it is unmovable from your person or even more powerfully, from being sheathed or exchanged for another when wielded. Warriors across the lands are able to manipulate this curse from hand to hand. Switching your hands is as simple as passing the weapon from left to right or vice versa.
Effect: You are carrying a norem weapon, you want to dual it but your primary is too heavy for your secondary, switch hand allows you to pass it into the dual wielding spot for 0 hours so you can wear that weapon.
This is so you don't need to do the whole talisman swappage - the weapon is still being used. Its still in your hand. You're just passing hands. This helps somewhat if someone has just killed you and taken your backpack and your talismans and you need to get back into the fray quickly.
You post so many harden up threads and replies it is not funny. Now you want a command that replaces demon faced talismans/glass rings Your cute kid. Real cute.
Switching hands already exists in the BLM arsenal but it's used for a completely different purpose.
That being said, I've always found it annoying when I wield a heavy first hander that is disarmable and a light offhander that is norem. Once you get disarmed, you need to disengage, activate your long alias, force yourself to drop the light offander and then re-wield the two weapons, just to get disarmed again and have to repeat the whole process.
It's silly that a trained warrior hasn't learned to do those gymnastics that greatly ease his life.
So I agree with Aulian's suggestion, but for a completely different reason.
[edit] I think any class that actually gets the dual wield skill should have access to those gymnastics.
Cursed weapons are stuck to your hand. As in cannot be dropped. Your not gripping it titght, it is MAGICALLY STUCK. What in a warriors aresenal suggests a warrior could manipulate the magic enhancements on a weapon to swap it?

Suuuure.
And demon talismans and glass rings somehow remove the curse from the weapon, without actually removing it though, since you DO drop them.
Trying to justify game mechanics with realism has always been funny.
Plus, what you just said is complete offtopic, since Aulian's suggestion is not about switching the weapon, but switching your "main" hand, so you can wield the heavier weapon in your offhand.
Reading is hard sometimes
SECOND EDIT. If, per your logic, the weapon is "stuck" to your hand, then how the hell do you switch it to your main hand when it gets disarmed?
My suggestion is actually for all classes that can dual wield - its not even supposed to be an advantage... OR about swapping hands in combat like a Blademaster.
Its an out of combat suggestion that if you have a light no-remove weapon equipped, you can juggle your hand back if you're without talismans.
IF you think it will give too much of a combat advantage (lets get realistic right?) put a timer on it - 5 hours - whatever

This is actually just a cosmetic suggestion. We're all waiting with baited breath for any useful ideas or suggestions you may have - instead you're squandering the opportunity Morl has given us to collectively come up with some good ideas to implement by immediately saying "Oh you're just looking for the advantage" - When the game mechanics as pointed out by both I and foxx already prove you wrong? THINK!
Oh so when my primary is disarmed and my STUCK cursed weapon which is magically stuck to my hand is transferred to my primary hand how?
Oh you must mean I just rip off my arms and interchange them right?

Reading is fine, it is the comprehending I think your failing at.
Im fairly confident alot of my logs, and some prayer discussion, as well as playing the char with more recorded fights than any beast in history, went quite a long way towards recent werebeast changes. Which also bled over to discussing Reaver monks actually getting a chaos blade? I have made suggestions that went a long way. We currently have a talented coder, I dont really see the point in wasting their time with you not wanting to uncurse your superlight offhand weapon?
Inserting two commands would certainly make things easier, and quicker than running at least eight commands for two talismans (if they're loose, ten if you pull them from a container and stow them again). Even if you've got aliases set up. Sure, sometimes you can re-wield your main before you switch hands, but not always.
get all.tal sack
wear tal
remove neck
wear tal
wear neck
remove tal
wear neck
put all.tal sack
wield main
du off
vs.
switch hand
wield main
Granted, I don't play a lot of melee's, but I do like this.
Does it give a massive advantage? Not really. Does it break the system? Not really. Can the game live without it? Of course, it's more of a cosmetic change. Does it save time and heartache? Most certainly. Do you have to use it? Nope. If you prefer to use the talisman method, there's nothing stopping you.
Not all suggestions are a waste of time. Some are, sure. But that's for our talented coder and our wonderful staff to decide. All we can do is debate the issue to the best of our ability, for better or worse, and give them multiple perspectives to make an informed decision.
That's an interesting idea Aulian. But one I think is a bit to great advantage in PK.
If you are wielding a main uncursed weapon and a cursed secondary, and I disarm your main weapon I will disrupt your weapon scheme to my advantage.
If you are wielding a main cursed weapon and a cursed secondary, and I manage to disarm your weapon I will disrupt your weapon scheme to my advantage.
This is extremely valid when fighting as a ironarm blademaster, or against a dual wielding blademaster who is set to attack with left. Or against a Feign Warrior who needs that off-hand dagger. Or when a Knight manages to disarm someone with two chaos blades, or a Demon DK with a chaos blade and malformed secundary.
It's a good idea, but that will mostly favor already strong combos.

Lol Im just spit-balling. Thanks for your comments - although not constructive for how the game works. Im sure you've single handedly made massive changes to the game. Bravo - I'm sure that involved a lot of back and forth with the immortals in a constructive way? Cant manage that here?
90% of these ideas are thrown out as a 'what if'. To be discussed. Not for direct attacks about previous posting. I think you've missed the point of the forum.
But you've sure proved on this forum you've got the bigger dick - or the biggest of all of us. Bravo.
**Re: Mya - Its completely cosmetic from the point of view of: why not? Hell put a bleeding timer on it so you cant do it recently after combat. Its more of a practical thing then anything. **
**Scenario: You've just been killed. Your backpack has been taken and you've gotten all/wear all from your corpse. **
You have a cabal enemy/a bounty/whatever. They are going to keep hounding you for whatever reason. You now have run around getting glass rings and waiting for 2 talismans to spawn. Why can't you just get back into the fray - by swapping the stupid weapon that was in the front of your inventory to your second hand so you can dual wield. HELL IM NOT EVEN SUGGESTING BEING ABLE TO REMOVE IT. JUST MOVE IT TO YOUR SECOND APPENDAGE.
I have a serious issue that this mud has changed from a player killing fest to a equipment consumable grinding text based game.
**If we want to grind equipment why don't we play something with graphics and mediocre human interaction in PK where you don't have to rely on every second of instinct to win? **
**I repeat for those who are failing to understand: This was just a suggestion with 0 PK impact intended. **
This should have no timer of any kind, and yes, it should impact PK. A skilled football players can kick the ball with both feet, why shouldn't someone skilled with dual wielding not be able to wield his main weapon in his "weak" hand?
This should NOT be a cosmetic change. It's why I supported the suggestion to begin with. If it IS a cosmetic change indeed, then I don't really care.
Secondly, Aulian, since you allow yourself to gripe about how this game has turn into bla bla... I find it funny because your character has been whining constantly to mine that you are badly equipped (when you are not). So basically, looking at you gripe about people caring only about their EQ is like looking at Emp gripe about players killing and looting others out of spite, just to keep them down
doesn't make much sense, to me, to switch a cursed weapon from your off-hand to your main hand and vice versa. whatever hand wields a noremove weapon, should be the hand it stays in till the character becomes too weak to wield it (or whatever other effect causes the weapon to be removed) JMO [if noremove worked how I think it should... your secondary would remain a secondary and you wouldn't have a hassle wielding your main again]
that being said, it seems like it was always meant to be a hassle... the use of disarm to having a noremove weapon... it's as though... if you circumvent the skill, which can be a huge hassle in battle, you make up for it by having to deal with a hassle -in other ways- at a different time.
having to go through the whole ordeal of switching noremove weapons can be annoying, however, they're still worth it. (even if you're having to remove a secondary weapon from your main hand so you can re-wield your disarmable weapon)

Ops, two birds with one stone I guess.
Lol how I feel IG as a character is different to my perspective as a player - surely thats obvious?
If I felt under dressed I wouldn't be throwing my self in to PKs - Id be ignoring whatever other responsibilities I had under the premise of not being prepared Theres a reason behind the griping but you don't have access to my history so... awks?
You've also instantly identified who you are btw... awks again - I only gripe 2 people. Secondly - how about fixing that list of problems eh Volg - that would help some.
Please everybody, behave. Discuss suggestions in a mature way without rediculing them or talking them down just bc you do not happen to like them. Post your arguments - for or against - without insulting people who are of a different opionion.
