I can no longer see the majority of reasons for rares crumbling upon death as acceptable anymore and would like to request that this no longer happen. It is one thing if a player takes them, but for the mud to take them seems to run counter to the idea of encouraging people to battle. Someone is going to die and therefore someone is going to lose more than just a life. For me, as everyone knows, that's just insult to injury. ![]()
Frustrated by Crumbling Equipment
It only bothers me when they don't return after crumbling.
+1 for dale
+1 for not dieing
Gosh we're getting soft in our old age.
I'm middle of the road on this. The reason for it being implemented was rare circulation. But numbers have been low. So few eq gathering groups. Also always 2 eq crumbles...maybe puts too high of a slant on regathering that eq. Maybe change it to only being s probability of something crumbling? Between 50-65%? Or a weighted prob of 1+2 crumbling. Or make themcrumble independently at 80% probability?
Goes a little softer but is a little easier on the mid tier of people so they dont get so discouraged from recently getting a suit of shinies and then the insult to injury issue.

+1 P-body.
I agree with that actually - happy medium.
There are some tasty rares around though. I found two robes of Tuo just lying next to him the other day... I was like... SAY WHAT?!
The worst part is when the rare you want crumbles when you kill the person. The other worst thing is a Syndi death where up to 9 rares will be lost. I don't blame people for not logging on when they have bounties anymore.
I might just change it so that those with life insurance (and there are a few who can use it for the rest of their mortal lives with the amount of CPs they have) still lose 2 rares when they die.
The part that bothers me, and maybe this is a potential solution, is when you have rares that are rotdeath. Could we not make it so if you end up losing one or two due to rotdeath, that will count as the 2 lost on death? It sucks when you have four or five items that are rotdeath and you end up losing a ton of rares to a mob death or something silly happens.

How about this Morl, we give a caballed character limited LI uses per rank.
Initiate: you have been given 5 life-insurance tokens
Member: you have been given 5 life-insurance tokens
Veteran: you have been given 5 life-insurance tokens
Trusted: you have been given 10 life-insurance tokens
Elder: you have been given 10 life-insurance tokens
Leader: you have been given 15 life-insurance tokens
A total of 50 life insurances per character per lifetime - that are accumulative but capped.
Suddenly PK just became a little more real and a little more scary - sure you can pick it when you're 3 v 1 as thats when you should be... But 1 v 1? Do you waste a vital token?
I'd prefer the other way around.
Fair enough.
I have never had a problem abusing the mechanic - its a competitive environment - however I've also always had an issue with the idea of **unlimited **non-risk combat in the PK environment.
What is the fastest way to gain CP? I seem to have a difficult time gaining it.
Quests, guild quests, if you're a WM challenges, holding your enemy's standard, having a lot of land
Lower numbers (more all-around availability), more viable rares, more viable non-rare EQ, LI, rp equipment binding... yall really HAVE become soft.
How exactly does the rp binding work? Are you talking about the cabal type bind and it doesn't have the costs there. I'm not about to spend 50 rp on one lvl 50 item, rp points really seem to drop in scale once you reach 80 rp.
You can pay to have an item oowned. Help rp for the app version, check the bazaar for theirs.
[items]
- Restrung item, set with an owner and one color = Minimum 80rp
So, for 80 rp points I can rename and owner only any item I want permanently?
Yup. Rares for application by immortal. Normal items at the bazaar.
Good to know, Thank you Volg.
