A slight change to Brew

as it stands, druids are unable to share/sell their potions...** which, as I recall, was due to the fact it added a reason to kill them. (at least in 1.0 you could feed potions to group mates, making druids a very welcome addition in spite of a certain drawback... though, that was deemed abusable) **

help brew

BREW

syntax: brew

Passsed down from generation to generation, the ancient technique of

brewing has become somewhat of a trademark of the druidic culture. A

skilled druid is able to take a handfull of herbs and make them into a

powerful potion. The druid Aruncus has learned to capitilize on his famous

brewings, yet few druids will part with their secret.

**so, overlooking the numerous spelling mistakes in the help file, why not make potions rotdeath? (I'm sure this has been suggested before) that way it eliminates the pk reason and provides new opportunities for rp angles and IG benefits... something Aruncus has clearly turned into a marketable commodity... as any druid should be able to, if they're so inclined. such items are prone to evaporate as is, thus, with the added effect of rotdeath... it shouldn't prove any more problematic than buying farmed consumables from Merchants.

my idea is this: potions made by druids can be touched by other players, but now they will be rotdeath upon creation**

You are wrong on this one.

Druid potions are owner only for the same reason for which ranger arrows are owner only, the same reason for which crusaders and PSIs are not allowed to mod wares for other people.

You remember Faye?

perhaps the PSI mod has changed, though I do recall them being able to do so... much like an invoker enchanting... boggles

Ranger's can't share their arrows because of the special conditions that they provide... which isn't offered within Aabahran anywhere else... otherwise, for just a basic projectile, I don't see why a Ranger wouldn't be able to.

crusader mod, is amazing and crazy good (like maleform)... makes sense that they're going to keep such things within their Order.

druid potions can't provide anything not obtainable from a non-rare consumable (unless there are rare herbs, in which case the potion should be rare and limited)

honestly, with the addition of paying for farmed consumables... I don't see how adding druid potions to the list of farmed goods problematic, especially given that it is something everyone has the potential to take advantage of... you're far more experienced with pk than I am, I don't doubt you can see how this might "flood the market" or provide aid to someone that had access to the druid in question while their opponent didn't... something along those lines... but, given the rarity of druids and the happenstance that comes with making contacts (like finding that Merchant who has sizable quantities of herbs for sale) it would, seemingly, balance its' self.

I added this suggestion... mainly from an rp perspective... though, if it proves to be nothing more than a waste of time to read, my apologies. of course, I appreciate your feedback and I'm sure that a great many will share in your view point.

(like maleform)

That made me chuckle

lmao! totally didn't even notice it... I just typed something quick and in a hurry 'cause I'm heading out.

Dont feel bad . I had to look twice, but I did chuckle! oh yes I chuckled.

I played a druid once...a good small change I would like would be if the potions lasted longer. Everytime you turn around....the darned things are evaporatin...

Agreed on that. You would think that the masters of brewing have found the secret of lasting potions.
