CP cost display and elven blademasters.

There is a difficulty with seeing CP costs of cabal skills.

Someone suggested that they should appear in skill list, just like spell cost appears in spell list.

I think this would be to much work.

I think they should appear in the help file of "Help cabal skill".

Or in "Help sub-cabal" list of skills.

Example:

Help Gladiator

Gladiator

Gladiators are a bunch of boyscouts that have marshemelow parties by the fire.

Skills:

Unducte: Run fast 10 cp

Menber: Hide mkII 1 cp

Veteran: Smell the roses 5 cp Delay action 17 cp

Trusted: Hellstream 12 cp

Elder: Slay 1 cp

Another thing now about Elven Blademasters.

It is known that elven anatomies is best kept at 120%, with giants at 110% and beast (minotaurs) at 110%.

And that you get 110% on their own race for free.

But if you are a Elf BLM, you need to put your only mastery on the elf anatomy spot, in order to get above 110% ending up with 130%.

Which means most elves will go 130% elf, 110% Giant+beast.

Other races will go 120% elf, 110% giant+beast, 110% self race.

But what if we made racial auto-mastery a mastery instead of a expertise.

That way we could have sliths running around with 120% beast, and avians with 120% flying.

So those three races I consider the most valuable and wise to invest

anatomies in:

  1. Giant - 110

  2. Elf - 120

  3. Beast - 110

You suggestions make absolutely no sense to me.

Nobody says you have to choose elf mastery as an elf. That's the sacrifice you make if you do.

Couldn't you just use an expertise on elves to kick it up to 120? Or does this not work for some reason - doesn't stack with the self-racial auto-expertise, for instance?

For the expertise, Mya said that the selection is redded/grayed out.

For the expertise' date=' Mya said that the selection is redded/grayed out.[/quote']

I didn't see her saying anything like that, and that's not the case either.

What Mya wants is to have 120% at elves and then have 110% at 3 other races, like it usually happens with BLMs from other races.

Right now she has to choose between a) having 130 at elves and 110 at two other races and having 120 at two races and 110 at another one. Both options leave her with anatomies above 100% in 3 races, and she wants to have them in 4 races so she can cover a wider range of combos.

Which is all good, but is a very veiled way to say. "Boost my combo".

Of course, if that is to be implemented, it will also be a pretty big boost to elven/drow BLMs, since 120 at elven race is a must, while 120 at dwarf/halfling/flying/beast anatomies can pretty much be skipped for 110 or none at all.

I didn't see her saying anything like that' date=' and that's not the case either.[/quote']

I saw it on forum chat before she posted.

I understood what she meant. And I don't think it'd be a major issur to implement. But, elven/drow blademasters get so many OTHER perks I dont see that its needed.

(But im not experienced with blademasters)

Which is all good' date=' but is a very veiled way to say. "Boost my combo".[/quote']

Because I plays so many Elf Blademasters....

Unless you mean this is a very very very veiled way to boost my elven/drow clerics/mages/paladins/DK's.

The point is Elf BLM sucked. They got a lot better, but they still are inferior to Avians and hold no candle to Dwarves.

Another thing I remembered that could be useful for Elves in line with their newbieness friendliness is them having auto-mastery in "Spell-Kill".

The vigil one is nice, but this one would remove another extremely hard to master skill from the training chores.

It would not increase the potential power of elves, but would truly consolidate Elves as the defacto newbie BLM choice.

And would be extremely in order with Elven natural magic affinity.

um...No. If it's an incredibly hard skill to master, that is almost ALWAYS done on purpose by the IMMs.

I imagine that's the same here. But, then again, I'm not excluding the possibility that I'm wrong.

I still don't see why Elves/Drow need any more boost.

Human warriors are far inferior to Giants of any race, and yet Humans don't get large bonuses for being a warrior. Just because a race doesn't compare to the best race combo for a class doesn't mean they need an inherent boost so that they are.

Elves/Drow have certain bonuses for being a BLM. If you want those bonuses over others (esp if you're a newb trying out the class for example) then go for it, but you shouldn't be taking a "newb friendly" class and trying to make them equal in benefits to a power combo just because...the power combo is better...see what I mean?

Lol... why do you even bother mastering spell kill?
