An idea I have been tossing around in my head is selectable cabal skills. Basically, how it would work would be similar to paths for classes. When you hit a certain rank, it gives you a few different options, and you pick the ones fitting for you. These could potentially build on one another, depending on the skill/cabal. This would make the cabal experience both more interesting and unique. As it stands cabal skills/class cabal combos are widely known. Balancing could be a potential pain, but I think this could be very enjoyable/rewarding addition.

Certain rank would almost have to be from the subcabal you choose.
Perhaps even let religion influence aspects of the cabal skill? Not sure how that would work, but it's a thought.
Hell, I'd almost be happy with duration over strength of skill.
Many possibilities and yet many balance issues to iron out.
This is a great idea. But perhaps make the said help files on cabal skills really detailed.
There is nothing worse than getting a skill INSTEAD of another and it doing nothing of what you though it would do. Specially since you can't get a refund.
More selections and valid options is always a good thing.
