Wood elf.

I think it's time we get some neutral elves, in the form of wood elves.

Wood elves:

STR 18 INT 24 WIS 20 DEX 23 CON 18

Autosneak, infravision, scout.

Classes: Warrior, Ranger, Thief, Druid, blademaster, Berserker .

I think neutrals should have access to an autosneaking race.

Since they are wood elves, nature like "savages". They should refuse the unnatural use of magic, only accepting the gifts of mother nature, as in druids.

Berserkers are in, because I see it as a natural thing for forest savages, akin to celts and druidic people.

Although not a powerhouse, it would no doubt be very fun.

Why would they have the same stats as normal elves? And a berserker really makes no sense as a wood-elf regardless. Why not think of something original?

Not elf stats slight ly changed look closr

I can see why you suggested Zerks for a savage (barbarian) relation, but I can't see Elves being so "unrefined". Wood Elves being attuned to Nature and the Balance of things might seem uncivilized to most, due to living a simplistic life off the land, but they would be wise and serene not at all like a Berserker.

Warrior, Ranger, Druid make sense. Not sure about the Thief, since Wood Elves would, by their very nature, avoid the cities. I like the notion that they should have a certain type of disdain for arcane magic. That has actually made me wonder why Ranger's don't commune as Druid's do. "boggles"

I could actually see Monk making more sense than Blademaster... As a Wood Elf you could learn from animals and how they move, you would be calm and focused... well, it seems to fit the Monk perfectly... if only Monks were Neutral (at least I don't think they can, but they should be! )

No ninja? No bard?

If you do make them melee-oriented, you'd have to think of some massive racial perks to make them competitive in that department that wouldn't imbalance their natural classes.

At first I thought about making them afraid of cities. Since they live most of their life in the woods. As in Dwarven fear for water. In this case, making them lose 10% proficiency when on an "inside room", except forest.

Perhaps city as well, but that would suck for Watchers? Or would not?

And as a bonus racial camouflage. And of course no hide.

But I thought it would be to daunting for players.

I also though of blocking thieves, but thieves are not really just city folk. They can do the same in the forest. And who wouldn't want a neutral autosneak thief.

Ninjas to me are more urban, and bard... belong in INN's which are buildings, not the place for a Wood elf.

With the exception of Zerks, Druids elves can be all those classes. I do not see how they would need a boost. They make excellent Rangers and thieves, and interesting blademasters. Better warriors than humans in my view, and of course Elf Zerks suck, even more than humans.

But power is not the point, it's more about RP and fun.

What's this I found here?
