Doublesheath

Now in terms of being blind and disarmed then your on your own. If your foolish enough to remain in battle while blind with a weapon that can be disarmed than thats your own fault. There are ways around it.

This statement is ignorant of the fact that many classes can disarm cursed weapons.

It is super possible to get lagged, blinded, and disarmed all without being able to even enter a draw command. At no point does a single 1h weapon have any advantage over a 2her in this scenario. Monkdude kicks dirt in your eyes, lands a chakera or even back to back rounds with chakeras, dragon disarms your cursed main hander.... are you sure you want just a dagger over that polearm? Losing the automatic draw of your two hander, I don't care if you'd RATHER be in a dual wield stance, while you are blind can be fatal. At no point is a single one handed weapon the right answer.

Then perhaps something could be implemented as an "auto-draw" which can be toggled on/off. Not every battle has those worries in them. And the way doublesheath works now can either be good or harmful. Not saying a one hander is something you should fall back on, but if you arent lagged you could always double grip it if you needed a 2 hander.

You can't double grip a dagger. If you aren't lagged you would just draw that polearm. My point is that the extra survivability comes from the fact that doublesheath doesn't care if you are or are not blind/lagged/etc. Sure you can get boned from time to time by it, but it will also save you from time to time as well. I'm just saying, I like how doublesheath works now (as I have personally never been boned by it) and would like to at least keep the option of having it function for me as it does today. If others totally rather it not drawing until your hands are empty, I'd rather see it as a toggle (which we all seem to agree on).

Sure you get boned from time to time, should be sure you never get boned because the ability functions properly.

That's the entire point. You DO get boned, and in FL that can cost you hours and hours of gearing since people are jerks and loot/sac you.

In a game where the cost of dieing is so much, the risk huge, their should be no lingering bug that just "bone you from time to time."

While in theory what you described is fine, practice is a bit different.

When the monk dude disarms your dagger and you draw your sheated polearm, you will be left wielding none.
