Boots of the Adventurer

Handed out by the lord of creation to new souls being born into Aabahran. These boots make ones feet lite and their weariness nearly nonexistent. Moving about the land will use half as many moves as usual while equipped. Though they offer no statistical advantage, and will poof into smoke at the 10th rank.

Romney quote on inscribed? Shameful, you should know better.

Shameful that I used it to agree with the spirit of inscribed's post or shameful that I was agreeing with the quote?

It was a bit.

However, a new player would never be able to explore anything. You can barely make it from Malebrim to Val without haveing to sleep, and that is with a high dex class.

The problem comes from the fact that a low level character regenerates MUCH LESS moves than a high level one.

On low levels you regenerate like 40 moves per hour which is incredibly little, even for someone who can catch ticks well.

I do not seek entitlement. Personally, I have no issue with the moves. Mainly because I know by heart every step for making and lvling a character. Those first few lvls, I could do blind. Maelbrim made for a little, evolution, but in the end its nothing.

However, have you ever tried to explore Maelbrim, and surrounding areas at say, lvl 6. This is the level where a new player would be led by a leash to explore.

You end up sleeping more than you explore, sleep, and take five steps, and sleep again.

Do we want the first most important impression of our game to be an experiment on how much you like waiting for moves while trying to find Aruncus, or Lerant for the 1st time?

Poofing boots would be zero benefit to those like me tbh, oh no I get to not sleep the one time after getting the vial...To someone who is learning thoug, it would make things much more, lubricated.

Could also try a mount that abandons you at lvl ten. Perhaps giving you a quest to find the stables when it does.

These changes are so easily incorporated that I'd do it if I had the security to do it. This should be a no-brainer move.

To be honest, I like the idea of the mount (with accompanying quest) better than the boots, because it teaches people about the stables.
