With Zhokril around there have been a plentora of changes. Many classes have been upgraded or downgraded in recent years. However I was thinking recently that invokers, good clerics, druids, and shamans really haven't had any changes to them that I can think of. Ofcourse it could be because they are already well rounded and balanced classes or perhaps simply overlooked. I still think it would be interesting to start looking at them. Change can be good and fun factor can always be increased. I know shamans may not need anything but it would be interesting to see something new for them. I would contribute ideas depending on the outcome of feedback towards this thread.
Overlooked classes?
There are several design templates there, but we have no real coder now, so we are stuck.
So, does that mean the Necro changes are stalled? ![]()
Everything pre level 28 is a nightmare as it is currently. Nothing like Chill Touching everything for forever and day.

I am REALLY looking forward to necromancer changes. I hope a coder comes around soon. ![]()

That still doesn't change the fact you have to chill touch everything pre-level 28... just means you're doing it with more gear on and likely a couple of pets.
But anyways, steering this back on topic:
Invokers don't really need any changes IMHO. They are sitting quite well as it is.
Shamans, they could use some help in the killing mobs department so that it doesn't take 50 years to kill a couple of mobs just to get some basic items.
I think Anamus is proof enough that Good Clerics don't need changing any.
Druids: Never played one so no opinion here.
Alot of Anamus is derived from his cabal choice, as well as race/class.
Take a fire giant cleric, and compare it to a storm giant cleric.
Take a drow cleric, and compare it to an elf cleric.
Not saying goodie clerics don't do well, but you can't take 1 character and decide that the class is fine based on their performance.
Obv not, but it has been shown numerous times that clerics in general are strong, no matter your race choice. Giant clerics have more melee abilities than their casting abilities whereas the elven races focus more on the spells than on the melee.
Zaruuk, Anamus, Veraz, Suunmar, blah blah blah, the names continue on of strong clerics of all races. Anamus is currently the strong one, but would do just as well in ANY other cabal.
IMHO, don't fix what isn't broken. Out of the OP list, only Shamans could use some help and even then, only when it comes to killing mobs.
Your definition of "strong" cleric is very broad...
If anything, Dischord clerics as a whole should be looked at - by far the most powerful holy hands combined with, IMO, the most powerful DI (but admittedly, I don't know every single DI ability) AND probably the most powerful "Bless" prayer if you get the -AC one. It's certainly not a coincidence that most evil clerics are Dischord.
The point I was trying to make, is that changes shouldn't be made just because something else was changed. If something changes, there should be a specific reason.
People roll the same religions over and over. It's the "cookie cutter" of clerics. We haven't had much variety in the cleric religions and people often over look the most powerful religion - death.
Duergar death cleric ftw
Duergar death cleric ftw
Undead cleric ftw^2
I tried for undead cleric and got approved by chayesh, told I was a great candidate, then failed the automated quest because it is set up to make you a cookie cutter undead, leaves you no room for expanding for more depth of character ![]()
