Arena Equipment

I do not know if this has been touched upon before, but I have been messing around in the arena looking at all the armors. I have noticed most of the armor there is decent, would be good to get by in a pinch, but its all mostly made for melee. Perhaps we could make it so when you go to the arena equipments are class specific, A battlemage would get stuff for AC, A Blademaster and monk, light stuff, a Warrior's things could remain the same, Invoker things to help the Mind and health, nothing to OP, but a little more usefull then HIT and Dam. Just a thought.

The earrings are great for c/cs.

Yeah, the earrings. How about the gloves, leggings, shield or anything else aside from the Helm or maybe even the glimmering staff for certain mage types? Pretty much everything for the most part is geared towards everyone bug the mage classes.

Not disagreeing, just pointing out an exception.

And I can't recall ever seeing someone other than me using the dragon helm.

That's why I said most everything. There's only like 3-4 things in there meant for mages and one of them can be good for most classes.

Oh, I'm sure others use it, I just find it funny how rarely I've seen it.

P.S. Tant, I'm in total agreement with you that arena eq is too melee-focused.

I saw Ulthar using it

Coif is good for mages.. Gatestone is most successful for c/cs. The arena is, as I always saw it, a branch of the battle clan. A combat arena to test strength. I figured it made sense that the stuff there is primarily melee.

And I tend to think there is better non rare eq in general for cc's as well.
