Wow we are talking about one of the Strongest Cabals in the game. Once you get to Veteran you are a beast no matter if you're a Barbarian or a Gladiator. I've lost fights to Warmaster Inductees before, and have almost been killed on Numerous occasions with my mages. How about we just give everyone Trusted once they get into a cabal and call it a day. Why is it we just want it handed to us these days? Its not like Warmasters really fight challenges anymore anyways at inductee when death is possible. What they do is fight other warmasters, or Knights because they know they're not gonna die. Lets get real here. Wait the ten hours take your deaths on the chin and move on. Geeze. I feel like people are asking for change after I just worked a 12 hour day.

Great advice for players. I just don't see how to RP it.

I'm glad you said that. I want to clarify my stance. There should be cabal ranks. Maybe there should be skills given at those ranks. But it makes no tactical sense to withhold tactical skills.
"Welcome the team. Here's a musket. Go kill the enemy."
"But they have machine guns."
"And you will too once you've fought for 50 days. Well, you'll get a lever action rifle after 50 days. You'll need another 50 days to a semiauto rifle. And then you can get machine guns after another 50 days."

So by that logic, everyone in the military should be trained as a Navy SEAL.

I don't know what Navy SEALS are taught. But I know some of what Special Forces is taught. I know what US Army snipers are taught. I know what US Army Rangers are taught.
Almost none of it is tactical on the individual level.
Edit:
And this isn't a comparison between "everyone in the military" and "Navy SEALs". The characters aren't cooks or mechanics. They're not admin or finance. They're a fighter of some variety (other than Healers). A fair comparison is between the infantry and a more elite combat unit.

Stop trying to purposefully be obnoxious about a suggestion. Im not asking for an auto promote, and it gets real old every time i bring up anything cabal related you try to make it out like I am begging for instant elder. That isn't the case. I am trying to make a suggestion to remove something that makes players quit. In a game where we struggle to maintain an active playerbase, I think the cons of this 10 hour shit show far outweigh antiquated cabal RP. That is all I am trying to say, this has no impact on me at all. Everyone here knows I will fight anyone, with any char, any time regardless of eq. I probably got shit on harder as my ogre inductee wm than anyone in history. Danpher, Burston, and Decimus all having a contest to see who could hit me the hardest. Watching my cabal mates fully buff with every possible skill so they could just annhilate me without me having a chance in hell. I took it, regardless of how shitty it was, then got my promotions. I have also been here 15 years. You ask a brand new player who was TOLD to make a wm to sit through ten hours of that? Why the hell would they bother. I am not suggesting this to benefit myself, I just see the negative effect this has on player retention. Vets just dodge fights where they might die, unless playing broken or highly surviveable shit, and newbies charge paths, malform fodder, and give necros and endless supply of souls to burn through. You don't learn anything, you don't become a better character because of it. You just spend days getting your shit pushed in, probably losing any of the competitive eq you have gained up to this point. My goal is to make the game fun for everyone. 10 hours of not being able to detect invis? You can never kill someone unless they are super cocky, and sloppy. At which point you still havent learned anything, you just got lucky they didnt take it seriously.
Also calling WM one of the trongest cabals in the game? All the cabals are very strong. Reaver being the best for straight melee, then probably adjudicator, then glad, then praet, then barb. I am sure people will argue with me, that is just my personal ranking. You can make cases for other cabals based on combo.

This should lead to - rp AND / OR demotion.
