Neutral Qclass

Why not just take the druid class which is already in place. Perhaps make them werebeast only, but druids instead of having 1 transform can transform into any of the 4 forms. Maybe make the circle of protection just protect good/evil and remove the attack shield and maybe give them enhanced damage. Plenty of things we can do here.

Druids are a qclass, but come on. Lets make them a real qclass. They have such much potential. I'd love to see them buffed in certain ways, and nerfed in others. Therefore they must reach level 50 and apply to become a druid. Just a quick idea my friend and I had.

We had more in depth thoughts on this, but at the time I was currently banned from the forum and did not type it into a file. So once again, give your thoughts and no derailing!

Don't play druids although I am interested. Mindflayer seems to have a problem with their mana upkeep. Maybe give them trance?

Druids have a very nice skill (or is it a spell?) that lets them regen mana pretty fast...

Druids have a very nice skill (or is it a spell?) that lets them regen mana pretty fast...

It is a spell, yes, but I wouldnt say it helps them regen it fast. Helps a little bit, but there is so much that could enhance a druid to a TRUE qclass.

Druids have awesome potential. Werebeasts also having, perhaps a pro and con to the class, humans can do pretty well also. I don't play many druids, but the ones I've played have literally -never- died. Getting out of BAD situations is cake, and equipping is just as easy.

But I don't think they need to be a full blown true application sent qclass. They're fine as is.

How do I say this within the rules of our forum....

Take a druid at 38 against tiamat or the black knight, you will be amazed at the awesome powers they have.

In PK situations, I have taken uncabaled druids and given Minotaur War Masters all they wanted. The require a bit of finess, but so do healers. Why do I compare them to healers? Because when you convert to a druid, as with a healer, you are choosing the "less aggressive path".

The only trouble I have with making druids a "real qclass" is that it will limit the number of druids available. As it stands the druid class remains an RP angle that any player, veteran or newbie, can aspire to become. Veterans can generally accomplish any qclass, for the new players this is not the case. The way it is currently set up benefits new players, on first thought I believe this change would only alienate them.

While druids are not powerhouses before they are cabaled, once they decide to enter one, they become real beasts. Just my experiences.

Their options are REALLY limited when it comes to cabal choice.

Their options are REALLY limited when it comes to cabal choice. Tribunal, Syndicate, Watcher, and I have seen one Savant. Thats four, I can not think of a single class that has more options. And if you bring one up you will likely have to name opposing cabals which due to allign restrictions would not be possible.

Edit - OOps Herald makes Five.

Synciate and savant? Where did you see that mate?

Synciate and savant? Where did you see that mate? Aabahran, you should visit once in a while .

Aabahran' date=' you should visit once in a while .[/quote']

And you should read help files once in a while

You can be syndi druid, and there was recently a temporum druid as well.

Both true, seconding. Lonin and Germin being the most recent, respectively, iirc.

Perhaps you too should read the helpfiles f0xx. And not just the blm ones

It's sad how many cabal options a Blm has. Lol.

I would love to see a neutral q-thing, other than psi, but NOT tied to nature.

perhaps based on neutrality itself, with different abilities for both good and evil enemies. The pendelum RP has been done many times and could be expanded on in the form of a guild.
