What you think of opening common Undeads to the Moderate Tier?
We all know the "Ops, i'm dead" Qrace. Common Undead (not Vampires) tend to be a somewhat balanced Class, they trade some benefits for some heavy penalties. Like the Vulnerability.
This would allow new players to experience a Qrace, without the fear of being multikilled by the same player.
I think this creates a very balanced combo. Especialy with the rampage of Crusaders around.

I think that if you want an undead DK it shouldn't be smurf.
I have always thought q-anything needed a rare cap. But giving them a pk shield with all the nasty stuff they get? Don't they already get enough?
Undead Thief Ninja Dk Cleric Monk would all be nasty combos in my opinion. None of these need pk shields.
Also, you know what happens when undeads die, what are you going to do?
You forgot the oh so hated undead BMG.
What are you guys so afraid of?
The newbie that might eventually kick your butt? The person who can only log in once a week and might take ONE or TWO of your rares?
We all know what happens when an Undead dies (personally, I'd like to see an undead smurf get some type of protection from this since they are a smurf).
As a matter of fact, I'd eventually like to see Crusaders added to the Moderate Tier. ALL OF THE QRACES/QCLASSES.
Because if one person on here thinks that just because someone doesn't have the time to dump 60 hours a week in this game that they don't deserve the opportunity to do anything but be the absolutely most basic, well, then eventually holding those shinies out of everyone's reach is just going to alienate people.
I Know what happens. Don't do nothing. It's a balance for the PK shield.
The fact is that they are much more powerful when they are not moderate, because they get a full suit of rares.
Moderate tier option takes away that rare suit (which a non-veteran player would not have anyway), cuts any chances of the Undead doing any decent looting, and grants them PK protection from Multikill.
To sum it up:
Pro: PK protection from Multikill.
Con: Can only loot 2 rares.
Con: Rare limit to equipment.
I'm against changing anything to aid smurf Undeads when they die.
Smurf Avatar, Ok.
Smurf Demon, ok.
Smurf Vampire, Hum.... Don't like it, but I i'm bias on Vampires.
Smurf Crussader, Hell no!!! Unless they are not allowed any rare.
Do undeads leave corpses though?
Mobs corpses disappear, and you cannot charm undead with a DK.
If that happen or not to the PC Qrace I do not think that you will find answer to on the forum.
Or you could look for at some smoking hot
g of Cleric vs Undead
.
I think if you want to be a qclass or qrace you shouldn't have a PK shield. If you think you're ready to play one or the other you're obviously not moderate anymore.

You callin' me a moderate, son?
I've had an extreme decrease in time and quite honestly I'm happy doing what I'm doing now. I'm successful thus far in college and on my way to a career that makes me fulfilled as a person. I enjoy spending time with my family with the occasional ten minutes a day checking the forums.
However, I also consider FL an extension of my family. Like everyone else, I want to continue for this family to grow. I don't want to see vets going away. We all have something to contribute. We don't HAVE to open up qrace/classes. But there are some of us who still have goals we set for ourselves. I've never had a vamp or a demon or a psi as an example. I know I'll never make E or L in a cabal. It's rightly so that you would have to put in good time for those.
So, before we toss away the idea of opening some of the qrace/classes away for the moderates, at least consider that eventually we're all going to reach a time and place where our playing times will decrease. We all still want to be competitive. We all want to attain our goals. Don't shut us out because we don't want to be full-looted. It's not like we can turn around and full loot anyone.
Uhm..... you're missing the point here. Just because you play a moderate doesn't mean you should get things fast. It also doesn't mean you won't get full looted/full sacced every time you die, either, considering it'll be an UNDEAD. Their corpses go to ash every time you die and everything is on the ground.
If you want to play an undead, in MY opinion (not saying you suck or you shouldn't be able to) you should play a ruthless character. And I never considered it okay for a qclass/qrace to have a PK shield, in ANY instance.
Just me though.
If your Moderate because of lack of play time, Say your getting 3-4 hrs a week, then your going to have to apply for that undead thing about eight times. In my experience applications fall into limbo if not approved or denied within so many weeks. While the imms are waiting on your not so present character to fulfill the hrs requirement the application will be lost several times over.
Do I think Moderates should be qthings? I do not. I am a firm believer that the risk and the reward must balance out. It is not because I think the moderate players are weak, I do not. Truth is, I believe some of the best RPers I have seen lately have had a blue pk. I believe a lot of players are going blue with RP heavy characters. Qthings should always be RP heavy. From that perspective I can see where a moderate might impress the powers that be and actually pull off a moderate qthing. However, I would imagine there would be extreme scrutiny by the immortals toward such a moderate, if the character remained moderate at all, to see if they are just abusing the very real PK shield.
as others have pointed out, if you do not have the time to play ruthless..then you definatly do not have the time to put in the hours to obtiain a qthing.
I also am against giving q-anything a loot shield. With undead you would just be gimping yourself anyways, since you leave everything on the ground when you die. You would be just restricting what you can wear while still being vulnerable to full loots.
To me the Moderate thing has nothing to do with playtime or anything, it's exactly how the help file says. It's that you're not the type of person to full loot anyone or SACRIFICE ALL of their things out of spite. You're choosing not to be able to take a bunch of their stuff as much as you're choosing not to have them take yours. You're making a statement by playing a moderate.
You're right, but it does give a bonus to people who don't have a lot of time. If they get decked and die they don't loose all gear, being on less means less chance of finding the best rares and less time to equip in so they need to keep everything they can.
You can't really be decked as a moderate.
